ATC Issues at LGW this evening!
BRS accepting diversions......
EZY8722 landed from LIS.
EZY8450 landed from VRN
Looks like LGW has reopened EZY from RMU just landed and another to TXL just departed.
Sunday 30th June
TCX1987 LCA to BRS operated by Smartlynx A320 YL-LCS departed LCA last night but only got up to about 4,250ft and then in a circle pattern off the coast for nearly 3hrs before returning to LCA, last checked it’s still there. Don’t know what the plan is to return the passengers...
Bristol Airport have now updated there facts and figures page on their website to reflect May 2019 stats and Year to date
https://www.bristolairport.co.uk/about-us/news-and-media/facts-and-figures
Had an email response from the CAA today which I will let you all read yourselves, some of it is laughable:-
Thank you for your email. This has been identified as a problem and is currently being investigated.
Data does go through a lot of system generated checks as well as a manual review and...
There were 16 departures this morning using the based aircraft but there is a 17th on the ground which arrived from MAH as EZY9990 at 1710 Sunday, aircraft is G-UZHL I think an A320neo
Sunday 23rd June
0840 FR8286 to ALC finally departed 1439 using EI-DPT that positioned in from BCN. Original aircraft EI-DLX still on ground at BRS suggest tech.
EZY6712 PMI to BFS diverted into BRS at 1942, aircraft OE-IVR reason unknown.
EI-DLX still on the ground at BRS it should have operated the ALC at 0840 this morning so I am guessing it’s gone tech, so the EI-DPT positioned in from BCN to operate it.
I have emailed the CAA and advised that Tables 09, 12.2 are especially flawed due to noted increases on routes, to the extent that the figures advised for SFB, CUN & MBJ are physically impossible with the size of aircraft and number of rotations.
Does someone want to look at the CAA stats for BRS for April as I think there is something drastically wrong with the figures, it’s suggesting over 1million pax for the month. Some of routes pax are double that of last year..............
Having looked again it’s seems to start at once daily on a CR9, then moves to twice daily on an AR8, I wouldn’t take any of what I have said as confirmed, still think there’s more to come.
Having just taken a look at the booking pages there seems to be some work going on as it’s showing 3 departures BRS-BRU but only on BRU-BRS. One rotation out and back suggests operated by Cityjet using a CR9, the other 2 just say Brussels Airlines.
So think it’s work in progress let’s see what...
CAA Statistics have been updated as of 28th May 2019 to reflect the missing Charter figures, I have been through the whole spreadsheet and my figures add up to 622,792, slightly higher than CAA's own Terminal Pax figures.

Looking at the easyJet booking engine I can see flights to LPA in Gran Canaria commence on 29th October, operating Tue & Fri, I am dreaming or is this another new route as I wasn’t aware easy flew to LPA Gran Canaria from BRS.
Turkish Airlines
Sent a message to Turkish Airlines earlier this evening on Instagram about when we will see them operating from Bristol Airport, got quite an interesting response:-
