Not sure where to put this but there are reports of an aircraft down in Usk. Hope all is onboard are ok. Seems to be a light aircraft. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/a40-crash-plane-abergavenny-usk-16262412
I don’t think you can say this. For all we know Cardiff might have been getting a MAX that’s why we now have a sub. TUI don’t seem to leave aircaft at bases all summer like TCX. They seem to rotate them through destination airports.
No question of me if flybe leave Dublin (they might find some of of operation ie like they use to do Glasgow-Cardiff-Paris) then the airport needs Aer Lingus. They can offer 2 or 3 flights a day with North American connections as where Ryanair would proberbly be once a day point to point only.
I can’t see they become unviable. They worked ok during Flybe’s first run at the airport. The main thing is it to have one of the best summers the airport has had for some time to encourage airlines to look at the airport for 2020
I can see Ryanair increasing faro to 4 or 5 a week if they have the aircraft available next year and I believe they might be tempted to give Rome a go. We know Flybe use to be able to pull 110 or so on this so with Ryanair factor it could make it viable.
As for the uk routes. Flybe should stay...
Flew on the new klm flight on Friday. Had 35 min delay and Amsterdam was in chaos from the morning fog. Only about 40 on the flight which made it very comfortable and the crew were great speaking with everybody individually. Nice to board the flight on an airbridge in Amsterdam instead of the...
I guess they see the adverts “fly tui on the dreamliner” and automatically think that’s what they will be on. If you have no interest in aviation then you won’t know what tui use.
I think it goes to show how people make up their minds without any facts.
This woman was saying how quite the...
Sadly all the time this happens. Heard a woman on Monday complaining how the airport was so quite and there was no way there were 350 people there for her flight to Tenerife. She went on to tell her friend how good the Dreamliner was going to be. I can see when she get home she will tell...
I believe the city deals are meant to encoroge investment from the private sector by government starting the trend. As Bristol is seen as being quite wealthy (one of the highest outside of London) this is probely why Cardiff and Swansea have seen the money. I think I read some of the lowest...
Sat on klm now. Delays in Amsterdam today due to wind and only one landing runway available. We have a 15 min delay so could be down to aircraft availability again
The 787 and A350 are both capable of carrying cars. Obviously the A350 is larger so can carry more but off the top of my head the 787 can around 10 tones of cargo
I think the mid morning was cancelled so maybe they need the extra seats or it’s all they had available at the time. I will be on the new early afternoon in a few weeks so interested to see how it’s doing.
It’s good to see but another chaotic day with strong winds in Amsterdam upsetting the schedule. Good to see KLM can move aircraft around to ease the problems.
It’s a poorly written and researched artical too. No mention of them operating a longer season and using works like “Thomas Cook claim”. This claim could have been confimed by the paper by spending about 30 seconds on a calculator.
