No worries. I did think I had more but apparently not. It was a great day. And as a 9 year old mixing footie and planes was the dream!

Sorry to bring this thread away from the above. RIP to all those involved and I remember the whole thing like it was yesterday. On a nicer note, I found my Euro 96 pictures and some others. I have uploaded them in the LBA folder. IB727 by armadillomaster posted May 31, 2016 at 7:50 AM Oasis...

A Saab 2000 could operate to Scandinavia or Germany. We can hope? Shame the E170 won't grace LBA. But will look great in Eastern livery.

He did. He lived in Yeadon down near the Henshaw area. Great guy. I remember visiting a lot with my grandad and trying to get him to buy me model planes :)

    LBA Masterplan - 2016 - 2030

Some good stuff on there. Let's hope it comes to fruition. One main point though... Taxiway. Looks a bit of a waste of time to me... the only way it would be worth it would be to have a direct link to the end of the runway at Horsforth end as well or a full length taxiway. Which I presume...

    Aviation Nostalgia Thread

The Shorts 330 and 360 are still my favourite aircraft. A family friend who unfortunately passed away a few years ago now was a mechanic up at LBA (freelance) and we once went up to the airport, he fixed something on the Gill Air 360 and we taxied it accross from the hangars to the main apron...

Thanks for your replies guys. Some good history. I used to go up to the airport every Tuesday after school with my granddad to watch planes. Same every week, but still loved it. Euro 96 was probably the highlight.

Does anyone remember the Phillippines S360 at LBA. Why was it there? I seem to remember it was parked for a while over where Multiflight is now

I also saw on flight radar a Small Planet A320 heading in towards LBA last night. Came from LPL apparently. Anyone any ideas?
