Not flying from Brum, but thought may be of interest.
First leg required a trip up the M6 mid afternoon in pouring rain, fortunately in a people carrier taxi. Arrived at Manchester with 4 hours to departure - at least flying from BHX, I do not have motorway delays...
Went on annual pilgrimage by LNWR to London for drinks with ex workmates. Noticed at all stations we stopped, including Watford, West Midlands Trains signage saying Direct Services to Birmingham Airport, or words to that effect.
Anyone catch Midlands news this morning on Breakfast? If not the you should be aware that all British Airways flights from Birmingham have been cancelled today - well that’s a large loss of traffic!!!!
An interesting paragraph is

Don’t know how many, but met some visitors from Dublin on a Sunday last July and it was possible to see when a train had arrived, by the surge of passengers and the fact that one of the airport link units would not take them all
