Thanks Scottie. So the LF for Ethiopian of 72.26% is based on 50% of the available seats but SQ's 56.47% is on 100% of the seats if I've got that right. While we don't know the actual number of passengers flying the full route between Singapore and Houston, it makes SQ's LF more reasonable...
Yes, MCO is in stark contrast to JFK. Interesting that LFs for QR & EY are 10% & 8% respectively higher than EK.
Excellent figures for Gulf Air, CX and the 2 Turkish carriers.
On the negative side, disappointing to see Saudia below 50% and SQ to Singapore only just above. (Just remind me...
I may well be wrong but I seem to recall the plan at one stage included the provision of 2 new stands at the southern end of T2 as part of the TP, which would have meant at least part if not all Pier C going. At a different time, wasn't there plans in the TP for 4 piers on T2? I imagine a 4th...
It can't be down to security surely. The delays there have not been that bad. I don't know which handling agent deals with Gulf Air but I would have thought it was more likely the unloading and loading of bags and freight that were the issue. With a scheduled departure time of 08.15, or is it...
Can you just clarify Scottie. It doesn't mean as I understand it that existing slots will be used as there is a 475 cap. I take it to mean that the slots will not be lost if they are not used subject to the formula (is it 80/20 or 70/30?). I'm not sure what happens after the review on 8 July...
Interesting that LGW's reduction from about 900 daily movements to 850 is an average of 5.6%.
Using the 550 figure for MAN (it's been higher on odd days), that would be a 14% reduction.
What happens after 8th July review is perhaps less clear.
It's noticeable the slight drop on some days. Thursdays were usually higher than Tues/Wed. 12 cancelled TUI flights is disappointing.
It was supposedly 3 departures or 6 movements a day for June they were cutting.
Looks like a bit of TLC is required for each other Scottie. Hope you and Mrs Scottie are soon on the mend. The latest variants seem more likely to defeat antibodies and existing vaccines unfortunately. Appreciate your trying to continue with the daily stats.
Posted this also on another forum which may be of interest.
Just a report on our experience at MAN with TUI flights to Palma and return.
Departure was on Monday 6th June with an SDT of 06.30.
The check-in queue in T2 extended back some distance into the Skylink and the whole process took...
Thanks for all the updates Scottie Dog. Hope you enjoyed your break.
The numbers seem to have flat-lined a bit although Fridays, Sundays and Mondays are now over 500 movements. Hopefully we'll get a further boost in June with services re-starting and additional frequencies
There were certainly thunderstorms in the area about that time as reported on the metars. Posted on the BHX forum that they also got 4 easyjet diversions - from LGW and LTN.
This notam currently only runs for 24 hours which surprised me. Is it saying diversions can be accepted subject to available ground handling, and then only for a fuel and go - i.e no passenger handling facilities available? I was hoping Swissport in particular, as well as MAN, might be...
Thanks for that link Scottie. I noted this: -
"A 20-month construction programme will get underway in the second quarter of 2023."
Doesn't that infer it will be the end of 2024 at least before the new pier is completed. I was under the impression that actual work would start later this year...
As always, many thanks Scottie. By my reckoning, total pax were 21% down on April 2019.
The rolling 12 month figure of 10,963,835 continues to climb as the months with very low figures in 2021 are eliminated.
A fair point - taking those 3 airlines' movements plus Turkish for those 2 days gives 18 movements compared to only 8 Saturday.
However, looking at the big 3:
Ryanair +23
easyjet +12
Jet 2 +14
A total of 299 against 250 movements.
