Yes, it looks like the M lighting has finally been replaced. The H is already lit up but the external letter h was blown off I believe a few years ago by strong winds. Ah least the whole sign is now fully lit after many years!

Nothing was mentioned ref T3. It’s been reported on this forum and online that the new bar upstairs will be open in March. The rest of the improvements are due to be finished by the summer but I couldn’t see or hear any sign of this when I passed through T3 on 12th January.

23R/05L is ironically closed each night this week for its monthly maintenance. I wonder when the next full resurfacing of this runway is due, I think it’s coming up to around 15+ years now since the last overhaul.

The first departure yesterday (5th Jan) was around 4pm the Ryanair to Lanzarote flight. Does anyone know the reason(s) that it took until that time to actually open the runway? I appreciate it was extremely cold with snow and ice, but it’s not like it wasn’t forecasted in advance.

Is this traffic coming from westbound or eastbound? There are 12 of us flying from MAN on Wednesday morning but from T3, aiming to arrive around 6am so I hope to god this traffic situation will not affect passengers like us arriving to access T3 and the car parks!

Looking at FR24 this morning I saw an easyJet on stand 2 to Istanbul and a Jet2 to Rhodes also on Pier B to Rhodes. So looks like bussing to pier B as started from T2. Closure of taxiway Lima hasn’t helped so there are many holdings during the peak periods to get to and from T2.

Noticed the same thing today! And the aircraft I looked at seemed to be departing on schedule so I would hazard a guess as yes, the airline have made their feelings clear and know and management have had to offer these stands. If this improves their OTP then long may it continue.
