There does still seem to be some slack in the system, yesterday afternoon there were I think about 2 diverts from Leeds due to fog there (2X 737-800's). But it helps now that T1 is closed, there are more remote stands available (although not a huge increase). For example, I noticed on a live...
Yes, snow fleet indeed.
Unsure where they will be relocated once the new taxiway echo opens though…
Well...it's almost mid December, be interesting to see if the remainder of the TP (excluding Wetherspoons) will be complete and open before the end of the year. So we have:
* The remaining...
Also noticed the NOTAM for WIP on taxiway Lima and stands 6.8 & 10 until late January, what WIP is this?
Also, when can aircraft finally taxi by themselves along the new dual taxiway system without the follow-me?
The NOTAM for the follow me along the new dual taxiway system has gone as it was only valid until 27th November anyway, but noticing on the you tube live streams, the follow me vehicles are still in use…have the CAA not yet officially published the new routes?
Pier A? Are you referring to T3?
Yes, even though it’s a quiet time of year, it actually helps with T1 now being closed so remote parking can be used as a lot of aircraft are unused right now.
On another note stands 6,8 & 10 on pier B are out of use until late January due to WIP so this...
There are two areas left to open, taxiway Echo between pier B and taxiway Delta and the area between November-Bravo and November-Alpha (If my memory serves me correctly).
Unsure when tho…

The term “temporary” has to be used loosely, as it’s been said previously on this forum that the old T1 and security won’t close until 2029. I imagine this will be when the new T3 check in and security will be ready.
In the meantime the priority is renovations of the departure areas.
Yes, it’s looking like from the summer schedule period (and probably only this period) when Pier C is likely to be used. Movements at this time of year are lower, therefore until Easter time, I would say T2 can cope without the need for Pier C.
T2 legacy refurbishment is still not finished...
So passengers would have to get their boarding pass scanned and show passport twice then?
Are we taking about specific airlines / aircraft type or a mixture?
Those airbridge’s need a good spring clean! The one on stand 31 is rusting very bad now, looks quite far out in it’s position, unsure...
It’s definitely going to be used as an overflow for T2 come next summer. Shuttle buses running from the B gates lounge in T2 to Pier C.
The refresh is needed and will include a WHSmiths at the current gate 21 area (this gate is already unused).
I’m putting together an email in general about this state of affairs with regards to the drop off situation at T2 and will also include this example.
There’s of course no guarantees, but I hope it changes something!
Hello,
Last time I was on the lower level of T2 (a few weeks ago) there were trolleys available but not where the taxis drop you off, there are near the arrivals exits around 100 yards walk away. There are lifts nearby to the check in but I appreciate it would be difficult to navigate upstairs...
Not aware of any graphics online already. Consultation on the land starts next month.
The project manager on the latest podcast says within 4 years 20 new stands are needed, so we can assume work will start next year and be done within that period, but wouldn’t know how long all this work would...
No…it landed at 5.20am considerably earlier than scheduled, therefore due to no stands available at T2 and rather than be held on a taxiway, was allocated stand 12.
Great news ref the stands!
Can you confirm if stands 309, 310 and the potential 202 can be used simultaneously?
Although I’m...
