As a Villa fan, I can say that the best game I saw at St Andrews was against Leeds when LUFC were miles ahead of the competition.
There were crowds locked out until half-time when a bombscare caused the gates to open and another couple of thousand sneaked in.
Apart from finals, my best game...
A long way off, but just booked Jet2 for EFL on 5th September 2026 via a tour op (first time in a long time). It'll encompass our 25th anniversary so had to get the rooms & flights booked.
Had a nice bonus with a £200 early booking discount - That'll cover a couple of Alfa's 🍺:)
Recently flew on a couple of flights by AEX.
No Jess Glynne, but still that annoying bloke addressing the pax as "boys and girls" whenever the crew have something to flog. :)
That X-City line is very useful. Not just for Brum, but also for Sutton, the park & Lichfield.
Since WMT introduced the new trains, it's a very comfortable trip too.
Arrived back into T2 yesterday evening.
I can see where improvements have been made, but without e-gates, there was a queue almost to the A/C door.
When we got into the "sheep-dip pen", I could see that the queue was caused by our flight only and a staff member pointing to UKB gates at the front...
Small world indeed. We used to use the pool & gym @ the Abbey.
We also pop down to the White Swan & Red Lion every so often - maybe catch up one day. :)
I will ask when we pop up there - we need to go to aget a job done on The Ridgway.
We're near Beoley, not too far away and need to go up to Astwood Bank in the next week or two.
DM me Jenny's address and I'll try her house when we go up there.
Strangely, I would prefer the evening departure as it means a 10:30 ish AM departure from DXB. The terminal always seems more welcoming during the day.
It is actually adding an entrance to the airport immediately at an already space-constrained check-in/bag drop area which is close to the start of one, soon to be two, security area queues.
Good luck Mr Titterington.
Congratulations BCFC.
From a Villa fan, it will be good to see you back in the Prem the season after next.
Would be good to see the Tesco Bags come up and the Dingles stay up too.
