Booked EZY to Edinburgh on 16th Feb, returning on 18th Feb. No hold baggage so should be able to get straight through.
Went through on the 16th at what could have been a busy time with Saudia, Emirates & Qatar flights all leaving at about the same time.
Signposting on arrival from the NEC needs improvement as there was a lot of confusion. Pax joining the security queue from both the lifts and the shuttle. Happily, I had bought fast track and went straight through.
Building work continues apace and the old security area is now being fitted out whilst duty free is being finished. When this has been completed, it will make a big difference to the passenger experience
Inside was heaving with three large A/C departing close to each other.
As I was on a domestic EZY flight, I had the luxury of peace & quiet in All Bar One.
On return, it was good to note that baggage reclaim in T2 is also being fitted out.
In comparison to Edinburgh, I would say that usage of space is much more efficient given that EDI has a larger footprint. However, there is a much larger volume of domestics @ EDI, largely to London airports so the average time for pax in terminal would be a lot shorter than BHX pax who are mostly VFR or bucket & spade, IMO.
