That made me chuckle. There isn't a sensitivity switch. People just need to stop putting things in their bags that aren't permitted. It's that simple.
We went through BHX twice in October which was our first experience of the new security set up.

Both times my wife's bag was rejected. First time, the agent looked at the screen, a few touches of the screen and gave the bag back.....no questions or inspections.....second time, the scanner had highlighted a bottle for checking, the agent found it, checked the size, 50ml....so both times nothing to do with anything in the bag that was not permitted...

Over the two trips we went through security at Catania, Dublin, Vegas, Tucson, LAX and JFK without the wife's bag being rejected.......only JFK were using the new scanners ( but they all had escalators that worked ).

Our next trips are NZ/Aus in Jan/Feb outbound Lufthansa via Munich, return on Swiss, and Faro with Jet2 in March

Next August's trip to Gran Canaria booked with Jet2.

Lufthansa have moved our connection to KRK but at least we're still going and I get extra time in FRA :)

Radio silence from Ryanair over the refund (booking still showing as active) so it may end up going to my credit card people to chase it. Never, ever again!

In the interest of fairness I had a full refund from Ryanair on Friday. Not too bad in the end when you take into account the festive period and my credit card taking a week to add it to my account :)

Just booked Jet2 to Naples (for Sorento) in September also BGI for next winter with P&O using TUI £100 supplements flying from BHX compared to MAN or LGW😞
I thought it was a bit of a cheek charging £100pp to fly from BHX.l...although I noticed LGW was the same. Tui must be charging more. Roll on boxing day 🙏

Yeah depends on dates P&O have a lead in price usually from LGW or MAN then from other airports supplements apply giits. We looked at a February cruise for next year while on board last December it had a whopping £320 BHX supplement ridiculous!

Flew LS1111 yesterday to ACE my first 321neo on time departure with arrival 30 mins early, nice flight but seats were not comfy and I was glad flight wasn’t any longer
I'd heard the seats were hard and quite uncomfortable. They are on Jet2 737's also. Tbf...Jet2 are my second last choice regarding flights. I tend to stay away from them these days 👍👍👍

Came back from AGP on G-SUNG last summer and we all commented on how uncomfortable it was. Had an A321ceo on the way out and could have sat on it all day.

Try and get a Jet2 flight on Air Explore (I think they're back this year).

Actual cabin crew safety briefings and not a cheesy jingle to be heard anywhere :)

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
