Yes have noticed that Paphos seems to be a bigger market nowdays
Not a question of size. The east coast resorts have always closed down during winter with only the odd hotel here and there open. In Protaras even MacDonalds closes!
On the west coast including Paphos far more facilities remain open although not all.

I noticed OM-JEX which Jet2 have on lease is former Ryanair EI-CSS, I love this time of year seeing random airlines with 737's or white planes flying into Birmingham. Makes it interesting for me to guess what the airline is when they fly over me

Hi and Afternoon. So there were a few rumours about 2/3 months ago about possible flights to Jerez and La Palma.Anything else happened since?

That’s interesting. Is this some cruise ship tie in? Cadiz is a nice city, and with Huelva is/was the port for going to Canaries and numerous other places.

Nope Cadiz is really a port of call for ships entering or leaving the Med or heading to/from the Canaries.
Cadiz itself is a fine city with great history and a great entry point for southern Spain.

Cracking route 👌

In addition to reaching the Costa de la Luz by flying into Jerez, local holidaymakers can also access four completely different resorts across the region via Faro Airport throughout Summer 25 too, as a result of today’s announcement. From Faro, it is a short drive across the Portuguese border into Spain where holidaymakers will now be able to choose from a range of hotels that have gone on sale with Jet2holidays across the four resorts of Punta Umbria, Isla Canela, Isla Cristina and El Rompido.

Both brands have recently been named Travel Brand of the Year at the prestigious Which? Jerez looks good for Cadiz.

Not been there but there is a lot of interesting history.

It's also where the "Cuba" scenes were filmed in the James Bond film "Die Another Day".

Is there any specific reason why Jet2 don’t serve Corsica? Considering they fly to every other major Mediterranean island it seems a bit odd they don’t operate there.

Interesting question. Corsica has never been a major destination from UK. It is not a beer and sunbathing place. Much of the island is wild mountains. It is a major destination for French tourists and Germans to a lesser extent and I doubt there is the capacity for mass UK tourism. It is also expensive.

Easyjet operate from LGW to Bastia, Figari and Calvi whilst BA serve Figari and Calvi. Flights from MAN did not survive covid.

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
