CWL's TUI base (like most others) is gone for the foreseeable future. Flights are exclusively to Spain and Cyprus, both of which TUI have completely cancelled.
There are likely to be inbound-only ops next week and then it could all go very quiet for some time unfortunately.
I wonder if this will mean reductions in long-haul/wide-body short-haul from S21 and beyond (compared to S20 anyway). I'd imagine the 767s will also be due to leave in the not too distant future.
Isn't it TUI fly (i.e. the German branch of TUI)? As far as I'm aware it's a permanent transfer as TUI fly will be starting long-haul routes from Germany. I don't think HiFly is related but correct me if I'm wrong.
Not the best of days for TUI BRS flights today.
Sunday’s BRS-ACE-BRS finally operated today. Of course, the problems in the Canaries were not TUI’s fault but I believe Sunday flights from all other bases were performed yesterday, meaning BRS was affected worse than most.
Additionally, both of...
According to the TUI website, tomorrow’s BRS-LPA is delayed by around 8 hours. Today’s TFS will operate late tomorrow evening but no indication of the ACE flight being rescheduled.
Yes, TUI have had a chaotic weekend. I believe all customers due to arrive in Gran Canaria on Saturday have had their holidays/cruises cancelled (apart from BHX and DSA flights which arrived this morning but are now stuck there so inbounds cancelled). All Canaries flights today (to ACE and TFS)...
Enter Air 738 SP-ESC actually operated BRS-VRN-BRS on Saturday and not to TRN.
Sunday’s TRN will be operated by SmartLynx A320 YL-LCO (STN-TRN-BRS-TRN-STN).
Tonight’s SID-BRS doesn’t seem to have departed and from TUI’s website looks to have been rescheduled for departure tomorrow (25.5 hours late). A real shame for those passengers and crew thinking they’d be home for Christmas – they’ll now miss the full day. Unless, of course, this was planned...
The TUI flight operated straight back to BRS after landing so I’m not sure it was a Santa flight. LGW and MAN each had two flights, one operated straight back whilst the others stayed and are now operating back tonight.
If it did indeed pick up pax that is a lot of capacity on MAN-CUN from TUI today. MAN already had two of its own flights, a 788 and a 789. So in total, three Dreamliners inbound to CUN from MAN.
