The Inverness aircraft does actually return to BRS. I don't believe any of the current Easyjet schedules operate a W pattern into another airport. In previous years I think a GVA rotation operated into BHX.
I think I may know the issue with the Verona figures. The system the Airport uses for recording movements uses the code LIPN for Verona, where the actual ICAO code should be LIPX. It's been like this for as long as I can remember, i'm not sure why it's never been corrected.
In addition to Vueling & Air Europa, there will be flights by Air Nostrum, Iberia, Iberia Express, Privilege Style & SATA Azores. Maybe a few more to come.
There will be a lot of extra flights for the Champions league final at BRS from a variety of airlines not often seen here, the origin of many of these is likely to be Madrid.
It was covering for B757 G-OOBF which is currently tech at BRS. Pax were bussed to LGW yesterday & it operated to TFS before returning to BRS in the early hours.
If my memory serves me correctly..
B727-100 Air Atlantis
B737-200 Britannia, Ryanair, British Airways
B737-300 Dan Air, Titan, Easyjet
B737-400 Air Europe, Air Miles, British Airways
B737-700 Easyjet, Transavia
B737-800 Air Europa, Ryanair, XL
B757-200 Britannia, Thomson, Air Europe, Monarch...
I have to agree with the above. Easyjet wouldn't have aircraft parked up for any length of time during the day during the summer months. I think we'll see the gaps filled in over the coming weeks & maybe a new destination or two.
In the last 12 months I can think of maybe one occasion where the KLM has been parked on a different stand to the usual 21. It could be an issue if a larger aircraft is used, as the dedicated KLM lounge is adjacent to stand 21.
Just a busy inbound rush & not enough airspace to sequence them all straight in for an approach. It's more common for this to happen when 09 is in use & increasingly it's not just a summer phenomenon.
