The Inverness aircraft does actually return to BRS. I don't believe any of the current Easyjet schedules operate a W pattern into another airport. In previous years I think a GVA rotation operated into BHX.

Turned up at a busy time without enough fuel to hold, so diverted to Cardiff for a quick re-fuel before making the short hop back to BRS.

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

I think I may know the issue with the Verona figures. The system the Airport uses for recording movements uses the code LIPN for Verona, where the actual ICAO code should be LIPX. It's been like this for as long as I can remember, i'm not sure why it's never been corrected.

This was the flight that diverted, it didn't operate back to BRS in the early hours, as originally planned.

Air Europa A330-200's & possibly a SATA Azores A310. There should be 2 A330's in at the same time as the TOM B788.

There will be a lot of extra flights for the Champions league final at BRS from a variety of airlines not often seen here, the origin of many of these is likely to be Madrid.

BRS also gained a BHX bound Ryanair B738 from DUB this afternoon. After 2 go arounds at BHX due crosswinds, they opted to divert to BRS.

    easyJet

I have to agree with the above. Easyjet wouldn't have aircraft parked up for any length of time during the day during the summer months. I think we'll see the gaps filled in over the coming weeks & maybe a new destination or two.

    KLM

In the last 12 months I can think of maybe one occasion where the KLM has been parked on a different stand to the usual 21. It could be an issue if a larger aircraft is used, as the dedicated KLM lounge is adjacent to stand 21.

Weather & Technical Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

Just a busy inbound rush & not enough airspace to sequence them all straight in for an approach. It's more common for this to happen when 09 is in use & increasingly it's not just a summer phenomenon.
