    Runways, Aprons and Taxiways

Re: Leeds Bradford Airport - Runways, Aprons and Taxiways. I think you are right regarding stand 8, it is longer so the 763 can fit in. I'm also pretty sure two 767s cannot fit next to each other in the new apron, the 75s only just fit.

Archive Spotting Movements Log & Heads Up

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up I was amazed and just how low the Lancaster was when it was circling around today! It didn't seem to be more than 1500feet during the turns! I'd love to see an airliner do the same sort of maneuver. Does anyone know why there was one of the coaches parked on...

    Infrastructure, Construction & Developments

Re: Heathrow Airport Infrastructure & Developments I've been looking around on google to try and find the plans for the new terminal 2, as I'm wondering what it will all look like once completed. I can't seem to find anything, is there anyone that might know of a website? Thanks

Rumours about new destinations or airlines?

The rugby games aren't played on a weekday eveining, they are all mostly Saturday tea time kick offs. Setting up an airline doesn't mean they have to own an operate any aircraft, they could simply lease say an Air France jet for the Catalan flights and then maybe lease from Jet2 or Thomson to...

Leeds Bradford Airport - Video Thread

Could they have had Localiser hold on maybe? Its not full auto land but it keeps the aircraft on the centre line? Or maybe they just had the AP on with no modes selected?

    Runways, Aprons and Taxiways

Re: Runway Use I think I've seen the 380 use the Follow Me before. I'd reckon it could be used just to make sure she doesnt venture off onto any taxiways not wide enough for her.

    Route Development & Rumours

Re: Rumours about new destinations or airlines? Fragile?!!?!?! Monarch, established 1967, have 30 aircraft with 7137 seats and last year carried 5,794,702 passengers. They have carried in and around 6m pax over the past 4/5 years. They have bases at 4 of the top 7 busiest airports in the UK...

    Runways, Aprons and Taxiways

Re: Runway Use When ever I have been there and the 05s have be in use I have also seen the A380 landing on 'R2' and going from 'R1'. Justlooking at the A380 ground movement chart http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadbasic ... -06-02.pdf, it could be that if it were to land on 5L it cannot exit...

    Pakistan International Airlines

Im guessing if this test flight does occur there will be a significant delay to the outbound Manchester flight! No way could it unload, 'play' around at LBA, then load up and get airbourne within 2.5 hrs! Maybe the flight will divert and operate to/from LBA?

    KLM

Re: KLM cityhopper B.V I'm sure theres something in the rule book that allows flights that don't meet the Mininmum equipment list to be operated for maintenance purposes, in this case back to the KLM hanger.

    Runways, Aprons and Taxiways

Re: Leeds Bradford Airport - Runways, Aprons and Taxiways. Basically this is saying that 'B777/200' has been added to the aiport's operational textual information. http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadbasic ... -06-02.pdf If you look at the above PDF and go to page 7, section 2 'Ground...

Archive Spotting Movements Log & Heads Up

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up Does the CJ stand for cargo jet? Or is it just a private business aircraft?! I think I'll be going to the Ebor on Friday, should be a good day! Won't be placing huge bets mind!

    Route Development & Rumours

Fairly realistic aims I'd say ravmanlba, I hope the LBA board are thinking along the same lines! Not sure a 762 would make it to Florida or the Carribean though! (unless they could find some 762ERs about!)

    Manchester Airport - General Thread

Tom, I've done a bit of digging on various sites and someone mentioned on another forum that 'bits' of bird were scattered across the runway which needed cleaning, hence the circling of the 380 and then most joining the DAYNE hold over Macclesfield. I then went onto Casperflights.com for radar...

Archive Spotting Movements Log & Heads Up

I guess its going to LA to pick up the Manchester City team as they are due home from their Pre Season tour of the USA after tonight's game with the LA Galaxy. Incidentally I was just reading about the Etihad A330-200, A6-EYE logojet, that has been painted in a Manchester City paint scheme...
