Virgin's A332 seat maps have now been loaded in the Air Berlin configuration:

    Virgin Atlantic

A stark reminder that, regardless of Virgin's commitment to Manchester, London always has and always will come first. Premium Economy is a major selling point ex-MAN, and will hand Thomas Cook this market for the period in which this takes place fully. In addition, whether the other cabins on...

    Oman Air

Andecdotally it seems Oman Air are using A330-300s more frequently at the moment. Are loads picking up in the busier winter season for them?

that's good to hear. The same operation or an expanded schedule perhaps?

    Archive Route Development & Rumours

Yet again I see the rumour has been disparaged - as well as @User001 ’s efforts to give some extra info to the thread author - on airliners.net.

Seriously if all this was to come to fruition, I'd be very happy.

yes, I realise that. It took a turn from JAL generally, and more a bashing of the rest of the UK, saying it was 'farmland' and 'a random place' amongst others.

    Archive Route Development & Rumours

Happened to read that discussion I think. Was it about possibilities for JAL's next long-haul destination? What agitates me most is the majority of the people who make these comments have no clue about the economic/cultural significance of the North of England, or the air services we already...

    Manchester Airport - General Thread

Maybe someone should post this on airliners.net, to answer the question 'why would Asians travel long haul to a few minor cities in the north of England?' or something along those lines.

    Outside Influences

Birmingham Airport; the peak district?! Are you joking? Shakespeare's county yes, but the peak district is only 10 minutes from Manchester Airport at its closest, and much of Derbyshire's/Staffordshire's peak district is less than 50mins away. Take Ashbourne - arguably the most southern town of...

    Thomas Cook

No the flight definitely operated; flew over my hous operated by -TCXC I think. Just wondering whether it is going to operate fortnightly over the winter period?

    Virgin Atlantic

The signs are cautiously good so far. Virgin Atlantic flights to Boston and San Francisco still on sale beyond this year's cut off of end of September and up to 13th October '18 so far (end of schedule). Following this summer's great schedule (barring the slightly reduced season of SFO/BOS), if...

    United Airlines

@User001 Could you post screenshots? Still showing 757 online but has been rumour of increase on 23rd May for a while now - first 767, now 777. Would be surprised but pleased if it was to come to fruition.

    American Airlines

As previously noted, no 787s are based in the former US Airways bases of Phoenix or Philadelphia. I can’t see the 787 operating the Philly route in the near future.

Is MRU a scheduled route at fortnightly frequency or just a series of charters?

    American Airlines

The information was from airliners.net. Have no idea about the reliability of the source, but also mentioned new DFW-KEF route. It happened like this for JFK, but cutting EDI-JFK was also rumoured and didn't happen, so I suppose there's a slim chance.
