I do not understand why BA would start a new route as a slot sitting exercise when they can just add frequency within their existing network. I suggest this is an over enthusiastic spotter rumour.

Technically 20 as stands 20 and 23 are class B stands so would proclude the use of stands 19, 21 and 22, 24 should a class B aircraft be parked on 20 and 23 respectively.
To be fair the original stands 2 and 3 could only accommodate J41 size units so the nose out stand 1 taking up to F70 size...

AirBlue use A319's on it's Manchester operations to ISB via Turkey of which it has a fleet of 4. Their fleet also consists of 1 A320 used primarily on Middle Eastern routes, and 1 A321 currently in storage.
Easyjet have only released flights up to the end of Feb 2012 network wide so don't make any assumptions just yet. They did a similar thing last year with its early release programme.

Don't expect any Leeds Frankfurt until the third runway at the latter is in operation. Even then, unless Lufthansa's UK management change expect any expansion to be Manchester centric.
Loganair have applied and been granted peak time slots at both Edinburgh and Glasgow for an Lba route for the last 3 years so nothing new in that respect, anticipating a withdrawal by the incumbent operator which has still to occur. No indicaton that bmir are to withdraw from the route just yet...
Indeed the aircraft will do LGW-NTE inbetween the LBA sectors from July as a way to increase revenue with an additional sector to offset the operating costs of the unit. Don't be disillusioned, LBA-LGW is not performing well, inspite the various previous reschedules and rejigged crew origins...
