Well I believe they fly to 21 airports in the UK so it will be interesting if they increase and practically all of them.

    Aer Lingus

Looks like Cardiff dodged a bullet with Aer Lingus taking the Belfast route as Flybe have cancel quite a few routes at Belfast City that they are putting down to late aircraft deliveries.

    Wizz Air

Some reports say Pegasus Airlines. I guess it’s what you count as European but Ryanair Wizz EasyJet and Veuling are the top 4

Any expansion would be good. It’s interesting to think Cardiff now has 3 of the top 5 largest low cost carriers in Europe flying out.

    Ryanair

I think that’s what every company does, aviation or not.

    Vueling

Seat maps show an A321 so an even bigger upgrade.

    Vueling

Looks to be confirmed with 2 flights a week in Tuesdays and Saturdays starting in November.

    Ryanair

Ryanair have added Dublin 4 weekly starting 31st October.

    Wizz Air

Probably with new rules having not to isolate from amber countries from mid July they will run their original planned schedule so on need to fill gaps with routes like jersey.

    Wizz Air

I’m not so sure they wouldn’t work especially with it looking like at the moment Ryanair are scaling back their network to Eastern Europe from Bristol. Wizz might fancy a go with no competition

Interested to see what they do with the Bristol Katowice flight if it will remain there or move to Cardiff.

    St Athan - General thread

Filtons runway has been closed for several years now so don’t think any large aircraft will ever be moved to Filton again. The Concorde at Filton isn’t in great condition either as it was outside for the best part of 15 years before it was moved into the building.

    Ryanair

Yes the point they lift off can’t be used to guess the load. Quite often if they are light they can perform a de-rated takeoff run to save wear on the engines resulting on a long take off role.

    Cardiff: (CWL) - General Thread

Sadly with 4 different parties in office in the 4 countries COVID has become little more than a political scoring of points now and the only people that are going to lose is the general public.

    Ryanair

I don’t understand what expanding at Exeter and Bristol has to do with leaving Cardiff? Most of the routeS are duplicated across all 3 already. Ryanair don’t look for reasons to leave, they just go.

    Ryanair

Where has this come from? I would have thought if they wanted to leave Cardiff they would just up and go like they do all over Europe. On another not I bet if it was Qatar starting back up on Friday nothing would have been said.

    Ryanair

Great to see Ryanair ignore Drakeford latest crap. Would be nice to see a strong load to just rub it in a bit more.

    Loganair

I have flown with them quite a few times on the E145. Service is always good and the crew are usually really helpful. The aircraft are a bit tired inside. Most still have BMI blue seats with tartan head rest covers added but if you can get an “A” seat it’s lovely and really gives a business feel...
