    Ryanair

I'm pleasantly surprised by the booking figures actually. It just comes to show that people are still using services that are been offered to them. To have near enough a 1/3 or sometimes more of the flight full can still have its benefits. I presume the flights leading up to Christmas will be...

    Wishlist and Predictions for 2024

Imagine trying to flatten the chevin. It would be great for the airport but I'd suspect ALOT of backlash from certain folk.

    Ryanair

Does anyone happen to know the passenger figures for the ALC flights. I can understand RYR are still offering a service getting passengers to and from ALC but correct me if I'm wrong but there won't be many people at all taking this flight in the current situation so I wonder how it can be...

    LBA 2021 Schedule

Still a positive seeing the Skiathos and Santorini scheduled for next year and J2 haven't pulled the plug like Lisbon. They are both very nice holiday destinations and can see them been quite popular with 2022 been a further increase to possibly 2 weekly rather then the 1.

    Ryanair

It's definitely a massive statement of intent for Ryanair to order this many aircraft in this pandemic. I seem to wonder if they'd have got a cut price deal for them as weren't they due compensation from Boeing anyway?

    Aer Lingus

What about Aer Lingus flying to the states from LBA using their A321's. Just imagine.

    Leeds Bradford - General Thread

Trust me Bigman, that wouldn't be a very positive thing to do. Not with Jet2 having a brand new baggage hall. The A hall isn't big enough to share (again) it was a disaster last time and the A hall belt couldn't handle it. The B hall is new and improved. It would of been a good idea the other...

    Flybe

I can't see FlyBe coming back here for the foreseeable. With routes been taken over by Aer Lingus and Eastern respecitvely. They've said they will be operating a smaller business plan but I wonder if they could possibly introduce a new route perhaps if they want to get the ball rolling at Leeds...

    Ryanair

Once again lbaspotter, fantastic summarising of the schedule. One thing that speaks out to me is the 25 minute turnarounds that RYR expect from swissport. I know they all won't be busy flights but from experience doing turnarounds, there's not a lot of room for errors with the limited amount of...

    Aer Lingus

Was this similar to the FlyBe weekly flights?

    Thomas Cook

Although I welcome the return of Thomas Cook, I do think customer confidence will not be on their side due to the previous mess they got themselves into last year. I hope some sales come out of this venture using other airlines. Anyone reckon if the sales takeoff (pardon the pun) there might...

    Aurigny Air Services

Still good to see they haven't canned the route completely for the remainder of the summer. Even a week of potential routes would help people get to where they want to be and to even a few days holiday on a lovely island.

    Aer Lingus

Has there been any updates on the BHD and DUB routes and when they're scheduled to restart?

    Aer Lingus

I'd agree, the dash does perform better in crosswinds. One example would be when we had them horrific gales at LBA at the end of last year and the only aircraft that seemed to get in were the Dash8 and J41. Propjobs do definitely tend to be better, the pilots have no fear! :) In other news...

    Aer Lingus

Very interesting to think Aer Lingus have decided to give the route a blast (if this gets confirmed?). I do think they are more than capable of pulling the route off but I also think having easyJet would also be a good factor for the airport. It begs the question (since easyJet have applied for...

    Ryanair

Two Ryanairs from Warsaw and Aicante respectively have just aborted landing due to the high wind gusts we are currently experiencing. Looks quite nasty out there. The ALC Ryanair coming for a second try now. Warsaw still holding. Edit: ALC Ryanair got in on the second attempt.

    easyJet

I really think post-pandemic easyJet could use this route as a profitable option in their business. The market is definitely there for someone to take the BFS route from Leeds and the passenger demand should and would be there for them. I would think of it as 'dipping your toe into the water'...

    Eastern Airways

There's always going to be a downturn after something like this has happened. Hopefully the NQY route might be a saviour for them and have a reasonable load factor every day they fly down there.

    Leeds Bradford - General Thread

I wonder if they'll be using the same sort of thing for staff too. I'll be damned if they don't get some sort of test on arrival to work. Must be very easy and quickly to do for pax and staff alike to get this done when they arrive at the airport.

    TUI Airways

Unfortunately at these unprecedented times, I think airlines will follow where the money goes. Tui for example will be operating from the main bases including the one over the hill in MAN. Hence why I asked the question of any updates in the first place as they've been quiet from an LBA...
