Yes but your post I was replying to said "there has been no suggestion a UK airport will be included" and I pointed out that there has been a suggestion of same (from a source that has proven to be reliable in the past).
If we're relying on what Etihad have said, then to the best of my...
The latest CAA data is for April, so is not the size of UK airports as of 30/04/24 rather than 30/06/24? Also, is the total for Edinburgh not a record figure? Previous record figure was 14,768,010 for the year to end September 2019.
Would this be in addition to the route rumour from your Swissport buddy above?
A poster on FlyerTalk seemed fairly confident of EK adding EDI this year on the A350:
Thanks @Jetsco Do you know what the increase in Virgin's frequency amounted to (presumably it's not happening this year given it's still on sale at twice-weekly)? Is there any mention of the rumoured Indian or Ethiopian services?
Any reasonable expectations for what 2024 may bring (beyond things already announced)? Some more capacity to the Middle East? An Indian or additional Asian destination? Some more based Ryanair? The year could also see growth at GLA outstripping EDI (especially if Ryanair reopen a base at GLA)...
It should be obvious that it's BA. "An airline that hasn't done UK regional UK long-haul since 2008", which just happens to be the year BA ditched MAN-JFK.

That's very interesting. Is there an article or similar that you could point me to please that shows the proportion of UK originating passengers on SQ's UK operations?
