From what I understand is that Jaymac Solutions has acquired a 1.8 acre site at the airport to provide warehousing in a multi million pound deal with European Cargo.
So from the sounds of the press release:
Two A340 aircraft operational base created.
European Cargo entered a multi million...
European Cargo has contracted Jaymac Solutions for their warehousing needs. A warehouse is starting to be built at Teesside Airport for their operations.
If I read the leaked lease correctly. From 1st April 2030. The Annual Base Rent goes up annually.
Say for instance it goes up by 6% each year.
2029-2030 is £5,000,000
2039-40 will be £8,954,238
2049-50 will be £16,035,679
2059-60 will be £28,717,460
2069-70 will be £51,428,598
2079-80...
That will be why this vote review has come about. They will have been given far far more information from Peel than what the Labour administration give them through their roles.
Peel will no doubt have given them clear defined answers and breakdowns of what each bit means and what options are...
Will mean political escape goats in essence.
Jones & Coppard can say they were all for reopening and getting on with it at pace.
They will say:
The reason it hasn't opened is not because of us, it has been other people to cause it not to reopen.
So in other words they have engineered...
The Council say there will be 200 employees on site by end of this year.
That is a wage costs of around £8m.
So with the rent that is £13m required, before getting onto other expenses.
So probably easy to say that expenses would be in region of £20-25m
That is £20m of additional income...
Government and rail industry had already threw out any idea of branch from the mainline to the airport, this is due to it requiring being tunnelled to get it to the airport terminal, also the make up of ground makes a tunnel build even harder. Making it uneconomically unviable.
So why is the...
What is even more outlandish. Ros is saying that there will be 200 employees by the end of this year.
200 employees, that is a wage bill of around £8m a year. What are they going to be doing at a closed airport for a couple of years at least.

Five return A340-600 flights a week.
First flight for European Cargo en route from China should arrive about midnight tonight. It is expected to depart 1000hrs tomorrow...
European Cargo said there will be exports as well as the imports.
So exports will no doubt be well within the parameters for take off.
I think heard it mentioned by the airport previously, that the airport approaches are unconstrained, so can allow better angles of arrivals and departures.
This is great news for the airport, businesses and industry of the region and further afield.
Imports and Exports on 5 return flights a week spread over 7 days.
I was given sight of the signed Lease document and in it there is far more stuff in the Lease that hasn't been published in the media so far.
Everyone is talking about the Planning Consents that were required to be passed, power usage limits and passenger/ cargo targets that must be met.
But...
In the Lease, it says if the Airport hasn't operated as a Civil Airport for a period of 5 years then the Lease can be revoked.
The Lease was signed 20th March 2024, so the 19th of March 2029 is getting awfully near. It needs too be open and operating as a Civil Airport by that date.
That is...
For Peel there is no reason to renegotiate on anything in the lease. The lease has been signed sealed and delivered fully agreed to by the Mayor and her team. A deal that the Mayor was happy to sign off on.
It is down to CDC how they are going to deal with it and find a way to make it work...
