Airport press release saying 260,762 passengers through the doors in 2025.

Good news for Teesside

And for the North East more generally, we haven’t seen many heavy cargo flights into this region as far as I know…these flights are mostly e-commerce, so they could be a way for north eastern businesses to acquire goods more quickly and cheaply.

Good for Tees side 👌

This is great news for the airport, businesses and industry of the region and further afield.
Imports and Exports on 5 return flights a week spread over 7 days.

Doubt there'll be exports just imports.

The runway at Teesside is virtually the same length as LBA. How is it achieving flights to China, are they going to be via somewhere?

The flights that operate into Bournemouth are from Chongqing and Chengdu. From Cardiff the aircraft operated empty back to Urumqui and Chongqui so runway length wouldn't likely be a problem.

So imports only. That doesn't seem like good business sense but if they can make it work fair play to them.

European Cargo said there will be exports as well as the imports.

So exports will no doubt be well within the parameters for take off.

I think heard it mentioned by the airport previously, that the airport approaches are unconstrained, so can allow better angles of arrivals and departures.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
