Archive Spotting Movements Log & Heads Up

Yes the football looks to be a complete damp squib for Friday and Saturday. The Liverpool list is as dull as ditchwater with vast majority of departures between midnight and 5am. Let's hope for extra time so we there is a decent batch of stuff Sunday morning.

Maybe JET2 was a poor example So how about say EZY ? Plenty business traffic on those routes from the UK to Europe and expanding. There was actually an EU directive sneaked out over the week end that there would be zero change to flights or the moment of good on march29th so blaming BREXIT...

Every failed company seems to be blaming their ills on BREXIT which I could understand if it was consistent across the wider airline industry, but clearly that is not the case. FlyBMI had no clear identity with a basket of routes that I would suggest were at the very least niche, whilst others...

Not sure it has anything to do with BREXIT. If Jet 2 are expanding must that presumably be due to BREXIT. ?

    Manchester Airport Private Terminal

I wonder where the chauffeurs will be sourced? I presume the road system will take you from there around the perimeter to T3. Are they private owners working directly for MAG or a company?

Did PK have a crystal ball as things certainly seem to have taken a bit of a knock sideways since his departure!

    Flybe

If the deal goes through And it's a big IF in my view, you do wonder if the focus will be on Manchester with many other obscure routes in for a cull. And where on earth does this leave Birmingham in what could be another punishing blow?

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

Unlike BHX which isn't slot restricted the loss of Flybe to MAN whilst significant in terms of UK connectivity and domestic feed would be quickly filled by other airlines who have applied for 2019 but cannot get in. I suspect BHX would simply take yet another hit.

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

Very interesting analysis EGCC. 17% adds over 5m pax so even half that figure once a cu has been made would take Manchester to nearly 33m. Any thoughts on FLYBE? A report in yesterday Guardian laid emphasis on feeding Manchester and Heathrow and discarding other routes. Maybe Manchester...

I'm confused. If it's not a codeshare presumably it won't show as say Singapore Belfast So how does the consumer actually know they can therefore book Singapore Belfast and a connection exists ,?

Just looking back is that 15 % increase in Winter capacity one of the largest increases Manchester has ever seen at this time of the year ? I'm sure it's normally 6% or so. With massive increases already in the pipeline for Summer 2019 the MAT looks as though it might be heading toward 32m ?
