    Jet2.com

Thats a surprise, and welldone jet2 offering the more niche routes. Are perhaps jet2 seeing whats going off in the market esp in turkey and offering some new routes but maybe cutting back on the frequency of some turkish routes, testing the water kinda thing?

    Sun Express

To me this dont add up with sunexpress, to go from x5 flights per week to nothing is very strange. Id of thought a reduced service say 2 or 3 flights per week, are loads really that bad? As per its the orange man getting the blame again but there are certainly other factors at play for sure

    Sun Express

Wow thats bad news regarding sunexpress, i guess with sunexpress still been a newcomer to some uk airports and an unknown airline to many members of the public there is always more of a challenge to fill their planes compared to the likes of jet2, easyjet etc One thing i definitely noticed...

Leeds Bradford Airport - Photo Thread

A few images from the late 80s/early 90s, by clicking on each image it clears the pic quality. What a line up of aircraft on taxi in the first image! MEA 707, BM dc9 and in the background a balkan tu154 just starting its taxi! Nationair used 2 of my favourite aircraft, the B757 and on odd...

    Ryanair

Back to ryanair, what's the length of these new max10s in relation to the a321? Imagine a 228 pax 737 with longer fuselage but same size wings as an 800 or max8! ! Mindu dare i say this I far prefer the max8 over the 800s now certainly with the powerful engines so who knows the max10 like the 8...

Weather & Technical Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

Certainly with ryanair if your flight is cancelled you must get onto the ryanair app asap and rebook to the next flight as its basically 2 flights worth of pax trying to get onto one plane!

    Ryanair

Flattening out the runway and readjusting the ILS are 2 seperate things. Moving the TDZ back to the start of R32 on the flat section of runway with ILS adjustment would be alot cheaper but yes i agree still into the millions.

    Ryanair

Pointless spending multi-millions on terminal improvements if they aint a decent runway to land or take off on!! Bit of a joke id say! The problem is right there in front of the LBA Management but never looked at, can they not see this is one of the main reasons for lack of growth, its the...

    Ryanair

Cant believe everyones agreeing with me! 😂😊 Move the R32 TDZ back around 200-300 metres so still not at the very start of the runway and we would be in a FAR better state of play, and although the R14 TDZ maybe more of an issue new tech might help? Like mentioned above ME operators are not going...

    Ryanair

Well landing a max10 with its low to ground but longer length fuselage on R32 may pose problems due to the Touchdown zone been positioned at the point where the runway just goes into the slight downslope (going to hide in the corner from forum members again 😂) Regardings long sectors to the...

    Leeds Bradford - General Thread

Apart from the largest uk airports most other major airports in the uk have runways within the 1700-2500m length, LBA sits right in the middle of that figure, its just a shame due to its position, geography and usual weather conditions it aint just that bit longer. Quite happy to fly in and out...

    Leeds Bradford - General Thread

Interesting video with quite abit of info regarding the 1985 british airtours incident. Interesting how the highest part of the runway at LBA is at the start of R14 which I think is pretty surprising and how a TDZ on a downslope can affect runway performance figures, a point I've raised.

Spotting Movements Log & Heads Up

I think its been more a case of no luck for years now with new airlines and routes, just what the heck is going on! Im aware the world is a crazy place atm and we have that certain airport over the hill but come on this is ridiculous. Apart from jet2s new egypt routes thats it!

    Route Development & Rumours

Well we shall see finger. Honestly i think we will just become a larger holiday airport only, clearly more expansion from jet2 and ryanair and i fully expect easyjet to expand.
