So.was.at meeting tonight . Quite a lot of improvements to come, changes to eateries, bars etc. The border force area to be expanded plus work to baggage reclaimes. Will be in two parts to avoid busy times of year, so basically works going on in winter periods. New Jet2 ticket desk / offices/ crew room, check-ins and auto check ins. Solar farm construction will begin in new year. New security machines come into play in March. Improvements to arrivals with a new information desk going there, also the John Lennon Statue will be moved to arrivals.
 
Are the portacabin's still there? Usually around where the Ryanair flights board from?
I can't remember the gate numbers but this area of the airport really needs to be modernized.

There is a whole load of improvments over the next two years. New retail and dining new exec lounge. I can't imagine the FR gates are not getting attention.
 
Having Just attended the Liverpool Airport Consultative Committee meeting. Some items of interest, new cafes / restaurants are due to open this year beginning from next week. New Security Search Equip, being tested now and will be brought into public use in March. The Solar Farm will deliver 25 % of the airports electricity requirements . New Premium Lounge to open this year twice the size of existing Spire Lounge.
Expectation for 2025 is 5.5 Million passenger. Next Generation Egates due 2026.

This will be open in July. I was in a meeting with the CEO yesterday, and they are very happy with the news plans for the espire lounge.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.

15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
