London Stansted is continuing its summer recruitment drive with a jobs fair in Harlow to help fill hundreds of roles.
More than 400 job seekers have already registered for the fair on April 27 at the town’s Civic Centre.

The event will feature job opportunities at 25 airport businesses, including Ryanair, Manchester Airports Group (MAG), World Duty Free and other retailers and hospitality companies.

A big recruitment drive was launched at the start of the year in preparation for what is expected to be a busy summer season at the airport.

Nathan Mullane, the airport’s Employment and Skills Manager, said:
“London Stansted is delighted to link up with Harlow Council to host our latest jobs fair. We’re gearing up for a busy summer, so it has never been a better time to join the team at the airport.

“An airport job is ideal for people taking their first steps on the work ladder or looking for a new career direction, and a perfect fit for those with strong people skills, drive for success and interested in being part of the exciting and dynamic aviation industry.

“Stansted was one of the fastest recovering major airports in the UK from the COVID pandemic, with passenger numbers topping 90% of 2019 levels by summer 2022 and into this this year.

“With passenger numbers expected to grow further throughout 2023, companies across the airport are recruiting to ensure they are at full strength in time for the summer peak.”

Those securing roles with MAG can also take advantage of a wide range of benefits.

These include discounts of up to 80% on public transport when travelling to work, free on-site car parking whilst working and when going on holiday, an excellent pension scheme, training programmes, retail discounts plus many more.

The Airport Academy will also be in attendance promoting its free pre-employment support programmes.

These include fully accredited training schemes for those who are on jobs seekers allowance and require additional support before applying for the jobs.

The event will be held at Harlow Civic Centre on Thursday, April 27, between 10am and 2pm.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
