Aegean returns to BHX with twice-weekly Athens flights from spring 2023 Aegean Airlines, the Greek carrier, is returning to Birmingham Airport (BHX) after a five-year break. From March 28, 2023, Aegean will fly twice weekly between Birmingham and Athens (ATH). Tom Screen, aviation director for BHX said: “We are thrilled to welcome back Aegean. I’m sure these Athens services will be well subscribed.” One of its A320 aircraft will arrive into BHX at 0945 and depart to ATH at 1035 every Tuesday and Friday. Aegean will be the seventh Star Alliance carrier at BHX.

Corendon Airlines commences flights from Birmingham Airport Corendon Airlines, the European leisure carrier, has started flying from Birmingham Airport. Its fleet of 189-seat B737-800 aircraft are now operating flights twice a week to Dalaman and three times a week to Antalya.
