Earlier today, Malta International Airport successfully concluded the resurfacing of Runway 05-23; the airport’s 2.4 kilometres-long secondary runway, which was originally constructed as an air force base when Malta was under British Rule. While the runway has re-opened to General Aviation, it is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2023, with minor infrastructural works due to take place in early January.
