I think the Tuesday flight was going to be Norwegian. Surprised to see it dropped and go down to weekly considering its been on sale for a while. Would've thought TFS would always been a good market for charter airlines. The CWL Tuesday flight is now showing DY as the operator so that must be confirmed.

Last summer there were six TOM departures on a Tuesday all operated by based aircraft (B757 unless otherwise stated):
0630 Kos
0650 Alicante (B738)
0730 Palma
1405 Tenerife South (B738)
1525 Zakynthos
1620 Santorini

Summer 2017 Tuesdays are different in that TFS has been axed and ALC moved to Saturday, to be replaced by a second Pula flight and a new (for Thomson) fight to Girona. The flights to Kos, Palma, Zakynthos and Santorini are still shown as operating on Tuesdays this summer.

Was Norwegian actually shown as the Tuesday TFS carrier or was it marked 'to be announced' prior to being taken out of the booking engine? It now seems from what Marko is saying that Thomson will take seats on easyJet's Tuesday flight to TFS.

Yes the Tenerife was marked as a tba. Alicante , bodrum , Dalaman and Antalya are all still to be assigned an operator. I'm surprised that Thomson have reduced their offering to Tenerife and given the fact that easyJet have also reduced their offering in peak summer there will be a lot less seats available this summer than last

They could use Easyjet for all those fights? I assume EZY fly to all of them?

The Tuesday CWL flight had been confirmed with DY since the original release of the summer 17 timetable at the beginning of last year, operates in S17 much the same as it did in S16.

I imagine with TOM Now taking seats on the EZY flight, an aicraft from the airline could not be sourced, potential cost measures makes it cheaper and easier to use an airline already with a schedule in place, either way I find the fact that one of the main destinations in the summer months has had its capacity reduced, Itll be Interesting to see what gaps there are with regards to the EZY schedule at BRS.

Could this be easyJet finding enough work for the 15th based aircraft before announcing it officially ? Or has it already been confirmed ?

No easyJet flight to Antalya, they serve the other destinations mentioned.

Have a look at the BRS easyJet thread (see below link) #484 of 16 January 2017. The gaps appear in July and August.

I'm not aware of a 15th aircraft at BRS this summer. It was announced some time ago that aircraft number 14 would arrive for the summer (13 in summer 2016), and looking at the schedule the 14th aircraft is utilised, although as has been mentioned once or twice July and August are down on early summer on overall flight numbers as things stand which leads to head scratching.

Many thanks for the link Local, I'm a bit puzzled as to why the busiest time in the season the schedule on selected routes is reduced, DLM reduced is understandable, but routes such as IBZ and TFS is intriguing. I suppose one of the main plus points if flights aren't added is the extra based aircraft offsets this ( 13 S16 14 S17), For the peak period however I'd say there's still time for frequencies to be added, i imagine BRS can't be the only airport in this situation. FR usually seem to add a host of S17 flights which could be considered as late.

Ryanair has just added an extra weekly Kaunas from BRS for summer 17 and has already added a number of frequencies to other destinations from BRS since the original timetable was announced. They added quite a lot of additional frequencies at BRS this time last year for summer 1016.

I've just posted to the BRS easyJet thread about the current reductions in peak summer this year.

It does seem that Thomson is having difficulty sourcing other operators. One of its 'tba' flights from LBA (to Malaga) has changed to taking seats on Monarch flights, as TOM is doing from BRS on easyJet to TFS on the Tuesday flight, because TOM could find no available third party operator to do the LBA flight.

Free bird op D2,D4 and D5 from dates in May . All arrive into BRS at approx 0930hrs with A320 .

Many thanks, Conns. Flights are away from peak time inbound arrivals/departures too which is a positive thing.

Whilst on the subject of Thomson/TUI, I've been surprised that they've not brought back a summer Salzburg for Lakes and Mountains holidays. Until about eight years ago there was a weekly flight on behalf of the group (going back even further there were 2 x weekly SZG flights in summer plus a third for another tour operator). The Bristol catchment is full of comfortably-off older people who are the main customers for such holidays and the flights used to be full every week (wouldn't have liked to have had to evacuate quickly though - at times it seemed like an old folks home on holiday).

Although easyJet now flies to Vienna, the only dedicated Lakes & Mountains summer route to Austria is the weekly flight for Inghams to Innsbruck.

easyJet themselves might find they could do worse than operate a weekly summer route to SZG. They operate 2 Saturday flights there in the ski season each week and Thomson also operates one each week in that season.

So when is the first Dreamliner passenger flight into Bristol. It will be a very early start for spotters.

According to Wikipedia (yes, I know) Cancun begins on 6 May and Sanford on 7 May (Sat and Sun respectively).

What happened to Punta Cana? Thought that started in April?

April 2018 apparently. I don't think it was ever listed for summer 2017.

Strangely, the Orlando flights commence just after the Easter holidays in 2018. Hopefully they might change that to take advantage of the school break

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
