Dave Lees, BRS CEO, was interviewed on ITV West Country tv this evening and said they are working hard to find replacement carriers for the lost routes and confirmed that Loganair will take over the ABZ route. He also said he is confident that an announcement will be made this week regarding another of the routes and a European airline.

Being a bit cynical but maybe announce Brussels airlines as taking over the route as something new and not what was going to happen already?

That had crossed my mind but a check with Brussels Airlines booking engine for the summer shows that the flights from 31 March are bookable as they have been for a while. That is the date that CityJet will take over the route with ARJ85 equipment (the type shown in the Brussels Airlines booking engine) at the same frequency as flybmi but with aircraft containing nearly twice as many seats (around the beginning of this century BRS-BRU sometimes had four daily ARJs). They will be operating for Brussels Airlines with SN flight codes unlike flybmi that operated as a partner for Brussels Airlines under BM flight codes (flybmi used to operate for Brussels Airlines under SN flights codes).

Currently there is no availability for BRS-BRU on the Brussels Airlines website from now until 31 March. I suppose a stop gap airline for the next few weeks until 31 March could be said to be a replacement carrier for one of the routes but it's a bit fast and loose. I'd be very surprised if someone like Mr Lees went in for that sort of thing.

Further to the above, they have now replied to myself on social media to say that negotiations are currently taking place although to confirm new arrangements. I specifically asked about Frankfurt and Munich

I was at the airport briefly this afternoon and when passing the eastern apron I noticed five flybmi ERJs parked up.

I posted a couple of days ago that the Daily Mail published a copy of a 'seizure' notice relating to one of the E45s pending settlement of outstanding charges. Someone posted on another forum that there are several flybmi aircraft at BRS subject to such notices. I have no way of knowing if this is true.

Earlier in the day I was at Weston-super-Mare and spotted a First Excel double-decker bus on the X route from Weston to Bristol bearing a large advertisement for flybmi at BRS.

Heard a rumour from a dispatcher at the airport that Air France were going to come in again on the cdg flights
There is a post this evening in the BRS Route Development thread from Red Flyer, who seems very knowledgeable on BRS matters, that there will be a route announcement tomorrow. However, Red Flyer also says, "............you will have to wait to see where to and by whom".

So we should know tomorrow if it is Air France, or someone else.

Currently 9 aircraft are parked up, they all have large water filled barriers behind them. I did notice one parked south side next to the A321.

With regards to the BRS-ABZ route being operated by Loganair, that flight was in the summer 19 schedule back in October, I can’t help but feel that using Brexit is just a cop out. This has been a long time coming the airline has been poorly managed.

Is it a coincidence that a few aircraft were transferred to Loganair and now all of a sudden they are advertising for Pilots? Not to mention that the ABZ Cabin crew have been offered jobs with Loganair.

Surley AIL wouldn't have run BMI in to the ground to offload a ton of debt..... would they

I see that the BRS website arrivals and departures pages have finally removed the former flybmi flights. For most of the week they've been showing them all but as cancelled.

Flightradar24 still showing them for tomorrow, I have contacted them earlier when I noticed that BRS website had dropped them. I don’t think any other flight tracker apps have the flybmi flights now so it’s just FR24.

I see the following aircraft are now registered with Loganair,
G-RJXC,XD,XE,XH,XI and XM.
XI had its Loganair livery on when I walked past at 0500 this morning. It was also the only aircraft to have the Detention notice from the airport and CAA removed.

When a company is about to go into liquidation is it not illegal for co owners to move assets to another company that they also own? Is this going to rumble on?

The aircraft weren't owned by flyBMI but the parent company.

I was driving down Hyatts wood road from Backwell late this afternoon when I saw in the distance what looked like an Embraer jet In B.M.I regional livery taxiing east towards the 27 runway threshold.I drove to the back of the airport in Winters lane, but by the time I got there could see no sign of the aircraft and for that matter there was no sign of the other B.M.I regional Embraer jets that had been parked up on the remote stands west of the terminal. When I drove from Winters lane back on to the A38 and past the 27 runway threshold I could only see one unmarked white Embraer parked up by the old terminal.Any one know if these aircraft have now returned to the leasing companies/parent owners ?

G RJXM has Loganair titles fitted.
G RJXI positioned to LDY on the 26th of feb
G RJXC and G RJXH both these operating the Airbus shuttle out of BRS. I don't know the time of these flights so maybe it was 1 of those.I cant find any other of the aircraft on the ground flew any where weds. The only other thing it could have been was re parking them tidy to make more room on apron.

All the flybmi departures and arrivals are back on the BRS website today. Not shown as cancelled or operated, just there with their former departure and arrival times.

In my early days in the big wide world of work I had a boss whose mantra was 'Attention to detail'. I probably thought at first that he was simply being petty and bloody-minded. I quickly came to realise how right he was. Get the little things right and the bigger picture invariably more easily falls into place.

We have said so many times in recent years that the BRS website departures and arrivals pages cannot be relied upon for complete accuracy. If they are not accurate there is no point in having them at all.

Flightradar24 have removed all the flybmi flights, but had no response from them. On the other hand Bristol Airport continue to carry BMI Regional flights on their online flight info screens.

Furthermore still seeing posts on social media about the lack of flight info at departure gates. The big departure board in Check-in still not operating or any screens showing the airline above each check-in desk.

Not to play down the cyber attack on its systems, but this occurred back in September 2018, a few more weeks and it will be 6 months. I find it a little strange that it couldn’t have been resolved by now.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
