I went to Gran Canaria with my family August 2016, and I have to say, it is the best holiday I've ever been on. The views are spectacular from my hotel Mirador del Atlantico and Playe De Amadores has an amazing beach too - its massive! Mogan was awesome too.

Couldn't resist posting a wing view shot!

Went to this part of Spain last year. Drove past Benidorm and was glad we weren't staying there!

Keep going up the coast and the area around the Montgó (mountain) and Xàbia (Jávea) I found really nice. Some really spectacular scenery as well.

There's no feeling quite like seeing a beautiful sunset whilst abroad. One of the best parts of any holiday.

I'm off there in May (I too can't wait) so will be asking for any recommendations closer to the time (y)
Xabia area has great food and beaches. Some spectacular scenery. Too many turn off from Alicante airport at Benidorm and Calpe but worth to keep going. I stayed at Platya de L'Arenal. Nice beach and plenty of decent bars. Could not find a British or Irish pub or fish and chip shop which is always a bonus! The new church in Xabia resort area is an architectural masterpiece inside and out. Tapas bar nearby yummy.

Enjoy.

I stayed at Platya de L'Arenal

We used to go there when I was a kid. Spend the afternoon on the beach then early evening go for dinner at one of the restaurants along the beach.

Went back last year for the first time in 15+ years and it was amazing to see how little things had changed (in a good way).

Really nice area and would definitely go back, so would definitely recommend it for people wanting somewhere a little quieter and less British than Benidorm! :ROFLMAO:

Just back from a week on the Costa Del Sol, flying Jet2. Jet2 experience was excellent again.

Everything at BHX was great. Baggage was going around the belt when we got through border control, which only took a few minutes in itself.

Also just booked a solo spotting trip to Lax/Las Vegas in October. Flying Virgin Atlantic/Flybe via Paris both ways.

Have a great trip, Ray

Had a great time in one of my favourite cities (y)
We used to go to Amsterdam regularly. Haven't done so for a few years. I like the place too. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

I love it.

It's just so laid back and chilled out you can happily go out for a few beers and not have to worry about any silliness kicking off. Really friendly people too.

It's been over 10 years since the last time I was there (we were due to go last year but the flights were canx due to snow), I definitely won't leave it so long until the next time (y)

I'm currently in Bergamo in northern Italy where the airport is still referred to by Ryanair as Milan-Bergamo. It is one of my favourite 'hub' airports and tomorrow i will fly from here to Faro in Portugal where i shall spend Easter.

If you have never been to Bergamo give it a go, it is a marvellous city with plenty of history and fine architecture, a fabulous art gallery and a tremendous food culture -- and wine!

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
