Pegasus Airlines
New route from SAW
(Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen) to BRS (Bristol) - 3x weekly flights (Tu, Th, Sa) starting 8th July 2025.
Pegasus has a huge hub at SAW and there will be lots of connections available to other Turkish destinations plus destinations in the Middle East.
easyJet also operate to Istanbul 2x weekly (Monday & Friday to the larger international airport 'IST'), however those flights are aimed more at business and city-break traffic as easyJet doesn't offer connections.
This is an exciting addition to Bristols growing portfolio of airlines

With 2 carriers now operating BRS to Istanbul, I think the chances of TK joining the party have been greatly increased …. I’ve been told the airport is working on multiple new route opportunities and the future is ….. put in whatever colour you like!!
I thought I'd look at what flights are available to Istanbul (IST & SAW) during a week in August 2025. As you say, Turkish are now even more likely when you see where they also serve.

Is there something going on with Turkiye? Haven't Sun Express cut flights to the UK?

I’d dare say it’s not specific to Türkiye, but the ongoing Middle East war in general which is affecting the entire industry sadly.
From something I read online, the Turkish beach destinations have become less attractive due to the costs becoming much closer to Greek or similar alternatives so airlines have been trimming some Turkish capacity as demand is going elsewhere. Istanbul is a funny one as easyJet stopped it at the end of March so you’d think Pegasus would have slightly more demand. Also Istanbul traffic is up generally with more people connecting through rather than the Middle East although I would imagine that would be IST rather than SAW and the Pegasus frequency and days of the week of flights aren’t ideal.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
