There seems to be a posting on Airlineroute.net that Air Transat are reducing MAN-Toronto from 6 weekly to 5 weekly.

This seems to be an error, as looking at a large range of dates from June-September on the air transat website shows the flight is actually increasing from 6 weekly to daily, with a mix of A310/A330 equipment.

Was it Air transat or Air Canada that is to dispose of it's A310's shortly?

Air Transat, but, they are staying for summer 2012 until all of the planned A330's come into service.
Air Canada dont have A310's anymore

Thought it was, I feel a picture taking outing coming up. What times does it operate?

Air Transat have increased Manchester flights:

Toronto goes from 6 weekly (originally planned at Daily but flights ex-MAN on Tue didn't operate), to 8 weekly instead.

Tuesday flights added and double daily on Thursdays, although as you will see from the schedule, why they are operating 2 flights so close together is a mystery:

TS478 YYZ 2320 MAN 1100
TS479 MAN 1230 YYZ 1505

A330

TS564 YYZ 2350 MAN 1130
TS565 MAN 1315 YYZ 1550

A310

Extra flights on sale now.

There is also a plan to increase Calgary from 2 weekly to 3 weekly, with extra flights on Thursday using TS966/967 flight numbers, but flight not on sale yet.

MAN - YYZ summer services shows 5 services are now scheduled for A330' with the other 2 A310's

One of the Calgary services also looks to be merged with Glasgow.

As per 25JAN13 GDS timetable and inventory display, Air Transat’s Summer 2013 Trans-Atlantic operational changes as follows. Note all routes listed below are non-stop flights, and comparison is July – August 2013 vs July – August 2012

Calgary – Glasgow Service combines with Manchester, 1 weekly (Calgary – Glasgow – Manchester – Calgary)
Calgary – Manchester 1 of 2 weekly service operates as Calgary – Glasgow – Manchester – Calgary

I returned from a trip to Toronto at the beginning of June....Air Transat both ways by A330 . I have just booked to return in October and find that the service seems to have reverted to A310's which, after a revamp, have a much smaller "Club Class"...unsurprisingly, they are wanting a lot more £'s for these seats. Clever old Air T. ;)

I didn't realise they were just getting a refit, I thought they were getting rid of the old blighters.

There are at least 3 A330 to Toronto per week, as one of the days it has to rotate with a Vancouver based aircraft when it gets to MAN.

The peak season sees a few A310's as Air Transat are trying to match capacity with demand now Air Canada are trying to get a piece of the pie (however with fares on MAN-YYZ with Rouge, if they are back next year I will be surprised. Not very 'low cost' for a 'low cost' carrier.)

I have always enjoyed flying on the A310, although I also quite enjoyed the Tristars as well. Any idea when Transat will be withdrawing the 310?

Air Transat increasing MAN-YVR to 3 weekly from 14 June with the addition of a Wednesday flight.

Confirmed and bookable on the website.

Probably no co incidence that Air Canada rouge is rumoured for the route!

Still with the A330?

Does it look like AC Rouge rather than mainline at this stage? If AC are at around 4x weekly, it is essentially a daily service.

Interesting how competition seems to be hotting up. Seems to indicate loads and yields this summer have been pretty good.

Yes.

All YVR and YYC uses A330.

Still seems to be a lot of A310 flights on the Toronto despite several news articles stating 'More A330 on MAN-YYZ'.

Interesting given TS hasn't expanded on YVR for a while. Hope we will see AC mainline but cannot be sure. If it is four weekly, a daily service to YVR isn't bad by any stretch.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
