Edelweiss will take over the Bristol to Zurich route.

Shame it doesn't start until June.

A dummy booking suggests that timings are a little better for connections than the Helvetic services we just lost. Connecting flights (or presumably rail) can be booked on the Swiss website.

After a very poor experience both ways with KLM/AMS in March, I welcome some competition on the connecting market ex BRS.

Interestingly, it seems Edelweiss are scheduling an A320 on the route. Quite a capacity increase over the 190/195 or even the 223, but depending on LFs/forward bookings I would not be surprised to see Helvetic aircraft back at BRS next summer!

First scheduled flight of Edelweiss Air at BRS today operating ZRH-BRS. It runs 2x weekly (Mo & Fr) through the summer season with A320s.
Hopefully the loads are good!

In addition to the summer flights, Bristol will now also have two weekly connections in February

Edelweiss will resume its summer schedule at the start of April rather than mid May - possible response to easyJet’s new twice weekly service

Looks like they've added even more flights for February. 5 in and 6 out now. No inbound showing for the 9.15 departure on the 14th so either sold out or coming in empty?

Seems like Edelweiss are night stopping Friday and Saturday nights.
