    Wizz Air

If you're going by the seats taken, I would imagine the back is blocked off for weight and balance on the outbound flight. That seatplan at the back is too neat!

    Vueling

I suppose it would give Wizz a welcome boost. If any of the Wizz destinations don't perform well it gives them scope to reduce frequency and throw another ALC into the schedule.

    Wizz Air

It's assumed they were only brought in because of the winter base closure. May be some kind of contractual agreement or just something done to keep both parties happy.

    Wizz Air

From which bases exactly? Most routes would exceed Crew duty hours for routes that would work in the winter from CWL. Bucharest and Milan were probably the best and simplest options if it had to be somewhere. Low cost airlines aren't in the business of positioning empty sectors or operating W...

    Wizz Air

Because they are already big bases for them. The routes that would work from CWL in Winter Wizz don't base at.

    Vueling

Alicante has always been one of Vuelings best routes out of Cardiff and was even said to have been up there as one of their best on their entire network a few years back. Their summer prices certainly aren't cheap, so no doubt they will make money if prices are as they as at this early stage. I...

    Vueling

To cut flights by 50% seems extreme as that would be more seats cuts than what has been taken on by the 2x weekly Wizz flights. LF's from summer were: May - 70%, Jun 72%, Jul 78% and Aug 88%. (Vueling & Wizz combined) Things to take into account when looking at them is Wizz were still fairly...

    TUi Airways

It seems there's also a few other short haul routes cut from BRS and some are inciting the effect of Jet2, who are still continuing to grow. TUI may still be updating S23 schedules so nothing is confirmed yet. But having a positive view on things, I do wonder if they might further expand...

    Qatar Airways

Maybe if they do some kind of charter they'll use the opportunity for a big announcement about returning in the future? :)

    Ryanair

There's signs of continual growth on CWL-DUB. August saw increases and October will see some too. Hopefully a consistent 5 weekly or even 6 weekly will come next year. Ryanair don't tend to operate many domestic routes within mainland UK. The only exception I think is STN-EDI which has just been...

    Vueling

I saw a social media response by Cardiff airport advising vueling will be releasing their schuled soon. It was on another generic topic and can't find it now. I did find it odd that they only mentioned vueling and not Ryanair malaga too. Although it's still not too late, I do find it odd that...

    Wizz Air

These flights are never going to be full. Milan will probably do better than Bucharest but as Jerry says, this was probably just a reaction to the base being pulled and minimal damage to Wizz's bank balance. The first flights are in November, which is when demand for flights from any Airport or...

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

I would have thought Crete would be more popular than Corfu. But in comparison jet2 and Easyjet both only offer twice weekly to HER and 3x and 4x weekly respectively to Corfu. HER should definitely not be 3x weekly for Wizz. 2x weekly at the very most. Dalaman is a good shout but may well be...
