I can't see it happening, I'd expect that they'd want the fans to fly from London.
Wales travelling population covers 3 main regions.
North Wales - Manchester and Liverpool JL
Mid Wales - Birmingham
South Wales - Cardiff, Bristol and London
QR would benefit from Welsh custom at MAN, BHX, LHR (and hopefully CWL!)

£25 for a friendly bargain and much better value for money that the rip off charged by WRU. Their greed is absolutely disgusting.
Wales rugby prices will vary for the games, teams like Ireland, England and New Zealand and games in the 6 Nations at home are in high demand so prices will be high, other games the prices are lower, Fiji tickets were between £10 and £35 last November. If you look at the individual ticket prices for Wales v Netherlands, Belgium and Poland they range between £30-£65 which isn't that far from what the WRU were charging for South Africa and Australia last November, tickets were between £25-£75 for those games. The FAW do sell a campaign ticket but the WRU doesn't have a product like that, maybe it should look at for the future.

I wonder if Qatar Airways could be persuaded to restart flights to Doha now that Wales have qualified for the finals, it would be a massive boost for Welsh fans and CWL.

Given the wording of CWL’s latest FB post, there seems as though there will be more fan flights (By who is anyone’s guess!)

I expect that there may well be some fan charters, for the games. They also were promoting Doha via Amsterdam with KLM. Fingers crossed we'll see some 737s and E195s from KLM.

It was reported in the Senedd today that the Economy Minister Vaughn Gething was in Qatar last week. Hopefully the Doha route returning was discussed.

Given the current situation with some of Qatars fleet of Airbus 350s out of commission because of the paint issue, it is unlikely that Qatar will restart flights from CWL until these issues are resolved. I understand that it will be going to Court in 2023. So don't hold your breath.

Personally I think if they ever do return it's not going to be until 2023 and beyond and that the more important task for the airport is to get routes like Amsterdam, Edinburgh and Dublin back to their previous levels of flight frequencies and passenger volumes.

Without prompting excitement with re-kindling this thread, from the Senedd notes yesterday Spencer Birns is on record stating that QR will not resume flights between CWL-DOH before the world cup, relying upon Charter carriers to fly supporters in. The QR CEO is on record stating that in fact QR will have to relinquish slots at DOH for the duration of the world cup to focus on flying in those who need to be there for the World Cup, whilst also making way for other Charter/Scheduled airlines to put on further flights.

He also went on to state that any resumption of the route will not be until 2023/24 at the earliest (with a few variables in the mix, COVID, crew, aircraft availability etc).

Rumours circulating that QR will return briefly to CWL for the FIFA World Cup - of course being held in Qatar and featuring Wales’ national mens football team.

I can’t find any proof anywhere so one might assume it’s likely to be a charter or possibly just the flight taking the team, staff and delegates out there…

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
