Sunday afternoons were great as a kid. Balkan, Aviogenex, Spantax, JAT, Iberia, Danair, BMA - I remember the smell, smoke and noise more than anything!

I’ve flown FlyBe to Belfast en route to work in Derry a number of times, always the first and evening flights on return and don’t think I’ve ever paid more than £140 - generally booked with a couple of weeks notice.

Does anybody know why last nights Belfast to LBA was cancelled? Passengers offered Doncaster, Manchester or next day to LBA.
Colleague paid (through work) circa £100 but already offered £260 (250 Euro) compensation.

I’m guessing it just passed over me on the Halifax moors towards Oxenhope, made a right racket.
I couldn’t see it due cloud cover and assumed it was military as we often get low level flights below us in the valley.
