Corsair 747 in 1994

Was it this one? I know we had a 100 series, and a 200 series and finally a 300 series (F-GSEA) at LBA. It wasn't the 300 but can't remember if it was the 100 series that did Lourdes, or both. Whichever it was I was there but my 100 series photo seems to have deleted itself!

No WH it was F-BPVE (from memory so might not be correct) a 747-200, came in one Saturday to do the charter and took off on 14 in a downpour, i have it on video in the loft!

Ah well it is my missing one then, I was there that day and the weather was rubbish and the 747 looked like it needed a good wash too. I still have the print photo fortunately but my scanned version has done a runner leaving me with just this 200 series and the 300 series. Thanks for confirming.

I am beginning to think we may not see TUi back at LBA this year. They have announced 8 routes from July 11 but only from 3 airports. They intend increasing to 19 routes from August but are adding just two more airports which isn't likely to include LBA but more likely to include DSA which isn't included in the first three.

Very unlikely. Easyjet said they were only planning to offer around 30% of their flights up to September, TUI are now saying the same. I can't see Jet2 offering a full programme of flights either if I'm honest. I wonder at what point they will announce their intentions?

The chances of DSA being selected in the second batch is because there is no competition and they will be able to charge what they want.

Now just need to work out which teams will be flying on charter flights into LBA and when.
