Yes, aeroroutes says it's 397 seats on JFK but the only A351 version on Virgin seat guru shows the more premium heavy 335 seats.
I would assume therefore MAN has the higher capacity version for both MCO and JFK
Being the FY end, the FY to-date is the same as the Moving Annual Total for which the total shown is 2019.
You're right Scottie, still some way to go. April will be important with Easter falling in the month for both years I believe.
The 4 months June - September will be key and while the ACL...
Looking at Scottie's extract from the ACL report of Significant Route changes, just a few points that come to mind.
On short haul, confirmation that easyjet, ryanair and Jet 2 are all adding an extra based a/c, even if in some cases, it's not clear when the extra a/c will arrive. That's good...
MAN took at least 3 diversions yesterday due to strong crosswinds at various airports and long holding delays into Heathrow.
AA104 (B777) JFK-LHR
FR4525 An EDI diversion (ex WMI)
XQ 596 Sun Express Antalya-BHX
It looked as if EK29 was on it's way here but having declared a fuel emergency...
You don't have to pay £20 of course. With a phone call when arriving passengers have collected their bags, they can walk to the pick up area in T2 West and the charge is £6 for up to 30 minutes. You need to park up initially away from the airport but that can be done towards Heald Green or...
A surprise visit from AI161 diverting from LHR due fog. A B788 from Delhi. Just a shame we won't be seeing their scheduled services this summer as slots were returned.
A second visitor diverting was VS222, a St Lucia-LHR arrival.
Fog was quite extensive in the Midlands and SE although STN...
Was Saturday 10th Dec. when we had snow and the airport was closed for nearly 4 hours?
Thanks for the data Scottie Dog. Wednesday runs Tuesday close and is the lowest some weeks.
The A333 has about 30 more seats than the B788 I believe, but the summer service is now only 3.5 months instead of 4.5 months initially planned.
And at one stage it was going to be daily from mid-June. Edinburgh seems to have been unaffected.
I guess if your glass is half full, it's a relief AC...
Just to clarify, I was thinking 44,000 pax to 31 Dec. 2022. I would expect Dec'22 to be more than Dec'21.
Either way, over 35,000 in that press release, while not strictly wrong, understates how well they did.
I can''t recall when Ethiopian restarted normal service after covid but 'over 17,500 passengers' sounds on the low side to me at 337 per week average. I suppose if loads were low in the first part of the year, an overall average of 50-60 per flight could be correct.
Perhaps our statastician...
Surely they can't leave a massive area like that when space on the airfield is extremely limited. There's no sign of the old T2 gates 201-208 being used as far as I can see. Remote parking until Pier 3 can be justified and affordable?
