It is a little difficult to warrant a 140 mile round trip - 2hrs each way - just to be there. I support the airport by using it, 3 times already this year and another booked for September.
I have read post 29 on 3 occasions now and I can see how people are reading it in a negative way.
I can't understand why these 3 councillors have "published" what the planning inspector has decided.
It begs the question
1. How do they know the planning inspector's decision?
2. Are all...
Have I missed something here?
I haven't seen anything that says the inspector has come down on the side of the council in its interpretation of the CLEUDS.
It always amazes me that people will willingly pay thousands of pounds on a holiday and then complain about £7 to drop off at the terminal front when there is a free drop off not much further away.
It has all gone quiet on this subject, the last report I read was July (no exact date). No doubt when it is released, it will be a "fudge" ie no clear decision.
There has been enough time to examine the evidence but who knows what happens in the minds of LCC.
I don't know why BRS get getting "excited" about the subsidy to CWL by the Welsh government, Doncaster Borough council want to subsidise DSA by over £100 million.
Taking BRS as an example (restricted to 12 million) they could operate flights from BHX or SOU where they already operate from rather than set up a new operation at an airport. That is by far the cheapest option, which seems to be the rule at the moment.
