I think that is still unlikely until the entire project is complete. The arrivals hall will be operating wih only three carousels initially. This might be until the CSZ moves to its new location and the new arrivals meet and greet is built.Any hint of new routes/airlines being part of a joint announcement for tomorrow?
Hopefully plenty of pictures and footage to come.Balloons, bunting and a freebies table are set up against the airside window. It's definitely tomorrow.
I don't see why that would effect an announcement of a new airline or route as it wouldn't be taking off for 6 months+I think that is still unlikely until the entire project is complete. Yes, only 3 carousels but each one is very big and the space around them is huge. It's a complete revelation compared to what we have currently.I think that is still unlikely until the entire project is complete. I've seen some decent camera equipment knocking about this aft. Some people tucking into some cake already in departures.Hopefully plenty of pictures and footage to come
Be good to see Air Baltic at LBAAir Baltic-will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the A220.
Ive been on several Air France ones. No different from Embraer 190's.Air Baltic-will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the A220.
I watched a few KLM pax in suits get quite irate and shouty after having disembarked from the airbridge and finding themselves waiting in the bus shelter/outside in the rain whilst outbound pax blocked their entrance to arrivals. Needs sortingWe walked from the aircraft to the old arrivals door and up the stairs by the infamous non op escalator then turned right, along the corridor and down the 3 flights of stairs and back outside. Then walked up to the new arrivals entrance. Waited about 15mins in the immigration queue due to only 5 of the 8 desks open. Baggage reclaim was busy but it’s so much better than what we had before. Down the temporary corridor then outside via a ramp to the outside arrivals area. How is this going to work in the winter with the rain and snow? People stood out in the cold waiting for people to exit? All in all I was impressed with what I saw yesterday.
Damned unlucky then give how rare a phenomenon rain is these days in these parts.I watched a few KLM pax in suits get quite irate and shouty after having disembarked from the airbridge and finding themselves waiting in the bus shelter/outside in the rain whilst outbound pax blocked their entrance to arrivals. Good point, pretty much all spring and the start of summer has seen no rain and only the last few weeks has it been unsettled with some rain, oh and of course the day some of us met up at HF! Its a dry year for sure.Damned unlucky then give how rare a phenomenon rain is these days in these parts.
Sorry to hear that. There isn't a lot I can do about it as the community can come and go as it pleases just as you have. I think rather than negativity it's more a case of frustration, particularly with the planning situation and so on. Hopefully good times will come again but we shouldn't forget how well our little airport is doing all things considered.I see a lot of negativity about LBA on this forum of late so have not contributed so much
