LPA landing distance is 1.2-1.3km longer than ours, so lots more margin. They're also still 30ft off the ground over the T/D markers, so either they got hot and high on approach, or he genuinely wanted to land late, but either way clearly not a problem. Our Jump Air pilot, though, was clearly aiming to touch down in the T/D zone. You don't float that low for that long intentionally.
Did he leave enough margin? Hard to say. Was it unsafe? Perhaps. Was it fine in the end? Yes.

We have to assume that the crew knew the situation, how much concrete was left compared to how much they needed based on weight, and once they finally touched down they were happy they had sufficient room to stop given the dry conditions.. Otherwise, they would almost certainly have gone around.

We dont know the load, but it was only the 2nd inbound, a couple of days after the first, so reasonable to assume that most pax on board would be Guernsey folk heading to Yorkshire rather than LBA pax coming back after just a few days. A light load is very likely therefore and I'm told by people who know that light aircraft can have a tendency to float on landing, some aircraft types more than others. But with a light load stopping distance is reduced too.

I'm sure that if this was in any way dangerous and classified as an incident, it would be investigated as such.

I can't even begin to understand why they continued with that. As for "the pilots knew what they were doing" shall we explore the numbers of accidents/runway overruns resulting from pilots continuing with a landing which should have been thrown away?

Any airline which doesn't take that seriously is not one I would recommend you fly with.

Where can the LBA landing be viewed?

I once watched a BMR ERJ135 from BRU touch down opposite the fire station - it was landing on 32… a bit gusty but seemingly safe.

Interesting I got an email from Aurigny offering 10% off EXT, LPL, EMA & NQY for summer, this suggests to me the routes are not preforming as well. good to see LBA not in there. Shame about no Xmas flights, don't see a rationale reason why. Hopefully they will return. They appear to operating a more stable program now.

Rumours elsewhere that both NQY and LPL will not be seeing GR in 2025. I hope we still see them at LBA. Apparently all to do with increasing operational reliability.

The States of Guernsey have also apparently recommended the merging of Blue Islands and Aurigny so could be some interesting times ahead here

Newquay & Liverpool have been dropped. Nothing mentioned about Leeds, but Dublin, Edinburgh, Gatwick and London City are safe.

Looking at their performance this year, i presume operations will be scaled right back and hopefully build back when they can.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
