As far as I know, the announcement of Air Sial’s plans spooked Air Blue and there are currently no plans evident that they aim to enter the market. Maybe they are looking to lease A330s as had been suggested.
I read Air Blue are in the running to buy PIA. If they do then the MAN flights will be theirs to control and they can decide whether or not to operate into LBA or not. They will control the market in the MAN/LBA area.

Among the bidding groups for PIA, “one is a consortium of major industrial firms—Lucky Cement, Hub Power Holdings, Kohat Cement, and Metro Ventures.
Another is led by investment firm Arif Habib Corp and includes fertiliser producer Fatima Fertilizer, private education operator The City School, and real estate firm Lake City Holdings.
Additionally, Fauji Fertilizer Company, a military-backed conglomerate, and Pakistani airline Airblue have been approved to bid for PIA.”
Of these I’m told only the consortium containing the two cement companies has made a concrete offer.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
