    Aer Lingus

Even though based on the current hub operation European connections may not all be optimal what do they have to lose by offering through tickets?

    Route Development & Rumours

To my mind the limiting factor is the inability of Aer Lingus to offer reliable services between LBA and DUB. This will never be resolved until they start operating jets.

I think they specialised in coach holidays.

    Aer Lingus

Thats not what I heard. The difficulty must be that if Manchester IAG employees are paid more then those at other locations would want more. I suppose the cost of living is higher in Eire so maybe parity isnt justified- who knows? I just checked and same applies from MAN, only North America on...

    Aer Lingus

I dont know the details of what happened at Manchester, I just heard the staff wanted parity with their colleagues in Ireland. There must be more to it than that. If I were to guess I would say the union issues were used as a pretext to cease loss making operations.

    Aer Lingus

I've noticed that the only onwards flights offered from Dublin when flying from Leeds are to the USA. I can understand that flights to Europe wont be all that popular (flying west to Dublin to fly back east) but Im sure theres a demand and surely theyve nothing to lose from an Aer Lingus...

    Ryanair

I cant see a budget airline being bothered about the state of the terminal.

    Ryanair

Jet2's dominance will only change if other airlines expand at the airport.

I agree, but thats what was given as the reason for lack of growth.

    Ryanair

I was doing some research. It seems that Ryanair will receive the last of their order for 210 x 737 800 Max's within the next couple of months. I am sure we were told- or assumed, that the reason for slow expansion at Leeds was due to delayed deliveries.

Leeds Bradford Airport £100m Regeneration Programme

This is the paragraph in the report relating to LBAREGEN LBA-Regen: Phase one is now complete. Phase two has been underway for roughly 6 months. Various images of works in progress were shown. The whole of the old terminal interior has been stripped. There have been issues that have slowed...

Progress was covered in the last ACC report.

    KLM

I recently booked 4 tickets from Leeds to Billund total cost £976. Out interest I checked the cost of 4 tickets from Leeds to Amsterdam and return, using the same dates and LBA AMS LBA flights and the cost was £874. It just illustrates the point that for onward connections KLM are good value...

True, but when I have a choice I buy Britsh first, then European. Its not just about money.

This mornings Wizz from WAW seems to have diverted to LPL then flown on to Leeds about an hour later. Presumably with the pax.

I wouldnt entertain a Chinese car, BYD, MG etc. I like to support jobs in Europe, not in a country that is a threat to us. Everyone to their own though.
