Just spent a couple of hours spotting up at LBA in the sunshine with a few friends. About an hour ago we got news that the Vulcan was inbound to do a flypast.

So like you do, we all got excited and ran quickly outside the Multiflight cafe only for it not to turn up afteral. Oh well I just hope I get another chance to see her in the near future.

Oh on a final note, thanks for a great afternoon guys, you know who you are!

I think that Vulcan might just have passed. At least something did, I heard it from my house, but didn't see it.

Yup, the Vulcan did indeed fly through. Down RWY14 and then off to the east of the city.

US Air Force C-40C(Boeing 737/700BBJ) 05-4613, call-sign "Spar 28" inbound for overnight stay.

Now that what I call a real rear visitor into the UK. Most likely its associated to the nearby joint US/UK RAF Menwith Hill station. I remember in the past we have seen visits of the USAF DC9's into LBA....

Oh bugger now that is really sods law, If only I had stayed up at LBA for another hour! Saying that there was chatter that it could make a second attempt to visit when the airport's usual scheduled air traffic had quieten down.

The inbound lunchtime BA followed an unusual track into LBA, almost certainly due weather avoidance with a heavy band of rain stretching up the east side of the country. The aircraft left Heathrow on a North-easterly track heading over Hull. The aircraft went well North of Leeds eventually heading towards LBA from the York direction for a 32 approach.

I noticed that as well. I wondered if the captian wanted to take his passengers on a scenic tour of Yorkshire's east coastline all the way up to Bridlington and then York minster.

It most certainly was for weather avoidance! It certainly can make things interesting when they get that Far East!

Due tomorrow at 12:00 7M1815 from Fiumicino, one of the annual student exchange flights.

Hi think you'll find this will operate on Wednesday again using a leased Jet time Boeing 737-300. Also worth noting this weeks service will be the last one off the summer so its positioning in empty from Copenhagen.

7M9031 - ETA 12:00 = From Copenhagen
7M1832 - ETD 12:50 = To Rome Fiumicino

Hi

Just a heads as up this week sees York Racecourse host the annual York Ebor Festival, The racing meet runs from Wednesday 20th till Saturday 23rd. Also this coming bank holiday weekend see's the annual Leeds Festival been held at the Bramham Park.

Hopefully we might get to see some ad-hoc freight flights operating into Leeds/Bradford this week moving horses about as usual along with a few nice biz jet movements.

Interesting arrival just after 2100 this evening Challenger CN-IAM, which if I am not mistaken is the first Morrocan registered aircraft to visit LBIA? Due out tomorrow afternoon.

TNT 146 due from Shannon at 0815 tomorrow morning plus a few bizjets.

A "real" aeroplane arrived at around 1115 this morning, Fairchiled Argus HB-ERO built in 1943!!

It is heading home to Switzerland from Scotland and has dropped in for a refuel and "comfort break". Due to depart around 1230.

Hi all

B-8108 Gulf 5 due in tonight from Istanbul at 2215L. No news on when it's due out but I guess it's likely to be nightstopping.

Cheers

An interesting observation from last Sunday and a bit of a poser for the die hard historians. We had 2 Italian CE510 Mustangs in, I-STCB and I-STCC. Is this the first time that we have had bizjets with consecutive registrations in on the same day??

Anyone confirm that this aircraft turned up?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
