When the olympic torch comes up to the Glasgow area will we see the specially painted BA aircraft come up and stay at Glasgow during this time? I would quite like to try and go and see it if she's sticking about.

Hi Scott, you mean the Dove. Wouldn't that be nice. I think you'll be lucky to see it though.

I was meaning the Firefly... G-EUPC. Is it following the torch (or taking it to the certain areas)?

You mean this. I would be cool to see so I hope it is following the torch but I can't find anything on the web to suggest it is.

Yeah I did a bit of research myself and it's not following the torch (I looked at the latest fights on FR24 and there was none that would be following the torch) so looks like I'm out of luck on that, but theres always a chance we might see it up on a shuttle flight!

Sorry, forgot to get back about that...

So far haven't caught the Firefly... however I went up to see the first EK026 (2nd daily flight) and was surprised with the dove taking off just before him

Ah well I suppose it will have been nice to see the dove. Is that your picture? Looks good!

That's my own picture :) Thank you :D

For now I'll just keep my eyes open and hope it might come up (or to Manchester when I go down in a couple of weeks) ;)

I've been tying to upload a few pics but its not letting me :search:

Hi Scott, If you've been having problems uploading your pictures it will be because the original size is too large.

Try resizing them to around 1200 pixels width. If you hover over one of your picture thumbnails on your computer it should display the size of the photo in pixels and in bites or megabites. It shouldn't be greater than the following....

1.54 MiB
Width 1280 pixels
Hight 1024 pixels

If your picture is still greater than 1.54 MiB after reducing the size try saving it as a JPG as opposed to PNG which used more MiB.

Hope that helps.

Hi Aviador...

I completely forgot to thank you for these tips, they solved the issue thank you very much :drinks:

No problem at all Scott. I see you've uploaded some more photos to the gallery. :pleasantry:

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
