Gambia Bird Launches Operation 22OCT12

New start-up carrier Gambia Bird is to start operation today (22OCT12), according to the airline’s website. The airline will offer operation with Airbus A319 fleet with IATA code “3G” on following routes.

Note the timetable listing on the airline’s website does not indicate the exact launch date for individual route.

Banjul – Accra 2 weekly
Banjul – Barcelona 1 weekly
Banjul – Dakar 2 weekly
Banjul – Dakar – Conakry 1 weekly
Banjul – Freetown 1 weekly
Banjul – Freetown – London Gatwick 1 weekly
Banjul – London Gatwick 1 weekly
Banjul – Monrovia 1 weekly
Banjul – Monrovia – Accra 1 weekly

Looking at the website it seems there are flights to Freetown also.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
