It has 334 seats vs 280 on the A359, with increases in all 3 classes.

From a post on a.net, I'm not sure whether it's just for the busy 3 month period to end of Feb. or that's the date up to when flights are currently bookable.

Confirmation from the start of season Winter 2018 ACL report:

Upgrade to A350-1000 in Dec/Jan/Feb. That an extra 54 seats per flight.

Flew DUB-HKG-AKL-HKG on the A350-941 and HKG-MAN on the 1000 over the Christmas/New Year period. Flew premium economy. The increased seating is the only real noticeable difference on board. Very similar experience to the B787 but lacks the adjustable windows which is a pain as during the totally daylight flight Auckland to Hong Kong, the crew were very fussy about having blinds closed - no good for the circadian rhythm. At least on the 787 with the windows dark you can still see daylight. The descent into MAN was interesting. Crossed the coast near Sunderland at 40,000 ft. Top of descent was 21 minutes from touchdown, probably the steepest descent I've had on a commercial flight in 57 years of flying round the world. Flight to MAN was full.

Cathay have announced the suspension of their 4x weekly Dublin service amongst a raft of service downgrades which it is blaming on the current trouble in Hong Kong. Flew on this service last December and whilst Cathay were at their excellent best, the flight was less than half full so the current troubles may not be the whole story. As no mention is made of the Manchester service, Dublin connections should benefit as timings both ways are good

From routesonline, they are going 6 weekly in May non-op Wednesday but weekends see the A350-1000 with it back to daily A350-1000 until the end of August.

According to Airlineroute Cathay reduce from 7 to 2 flights per week with effect from 28th February until 28th March.

That is at odds with other reports that say down to four per week. Maybe an update, maybe an error but Gatwick has been suspended until the end of March.

And to complicate the matter further I have just checked Amadeus and that shows 3 per week in March!!

Having also checked the Cathay website they just show departures on Saturday and Monday, so I think I'll stick with 2 per week.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
