There is a very interesting 'tweet' from the Manchester airport city account, which was then deleted and changed:

"@AirportCityUK is a fantastic location for @dhlexpressuk with new dedicated 767 cargo flight #insidernwlogistics

Interesting and quoting the DHL B767 was quite specific. Will be interesting to see what comes of this, but with the tweet being deleted, makes you wonder of something was made public before it should have done.

The freight at MAN could certainly do with a boost, and a dedicate B767F flight would definitely help those numbers.

Certainly one to watch.

So, nearly 2 years after this post, DHL officially began flights last night, with G-BRMG running the inaugural Leipzig flights.

The aircraft day stops the same as the FedEx flight and runs to Leipzig and back in the night.

I've read on another forum that DHL will shortly be ceasing MAN flights until further notice, with a view to returning in April.

Despite the proximity of their warehouse in the Airport City they might be finding it cheaper to just drive the cargo down to EMA where they're already established. Cargo doesn't care where it travels from, but this seems a strange decision especially seeing as they've only been a few weeks at MAN.

DHL have since returned to Manchester with the B757 to Leipzig. The service is 5 weekly Mon-Fri

However, since then, a 6th Saturday service has been added due to high demand. Flight operates EDI-MAN-LEJ-MAN-EDI on B757 also.

Does the Mon- Fri just do MAN- LEJ and it is only the Saturday flight that starts and finishes in EDI

I ask because I have seen a couple of pictures recently showing a DHL aircraft parked next to the Fedex
without seeing any reports previously that they had returned.

Mon-Fri is indeed just MAN-LEJ-MAN with daystop at MAN. It's just the extra sat flight that is shared with EDI.

Thought DHL had ended their seasonal run but noticed DHL2609 operated last night by G-BMRJ and it also operated on 10th Jan as well. What gives?

Hi it was supposed to start 3rd of Jan coming in empty from STN in the morning then going back to LEJ full at night but has been stop and start due to lack of aircraft and crew it's supposed to be running till the end of Feb.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
