3x daily A380 from Jan 1st :good:

Emirates starting 01JAN16 will further strengthen capacity offering for London market, as it moves Dubai – London Gatwick service to all-A380 operation. EK011/012 will see 3-class 777-300ER aircraft being replaced by 3-class A380 from this date.

This move is in addition to the introduction of 2-class A380 operation from the same day, replacing 3-class model, on EK009/010.

EK011 DXB0250 – 0640LGW 388 D
EK015 DXB0800 – 1150LGW 388 D
EK009 DXB1440 – 1825LGW 388 D

EK012 LGW0940 – 2035DXB 388 D
EK016 LGW1335 – 0035+1DXB 388 D
EK010 LGW2010 – 0655+1DXB 388 D

Including London Heathrow, Emirates’ 8 daily London service will be exclusively operated by the A380.

Fourth daily flight for Gatwick and tenth for London.

Starts 1st October

EK024 LGW 16:50 DXB 02:40+1
EK023 DXB 09:50 LGW 14:30

So Heathrow sees 6x daily A380's and Gatwick see 3x daily A380's and a 77W.

Seems the 4th daily flight has been cancelled. Not bookable on any platform now.

Emirates have suspended operations to LGW until March 2022.

Emirates will resume flights to Gatwick from December 10th 2021. Flights will be daily.

I wonder how much this has to do with lack of A380 aircraft? Still around 35 A380s not yet back in service.
It may be due to the lack of MRO facilities available. Qantas had planned for all A380s to return by the end of this year, however this date has been pushed back to 2025. I read this on simpleflying.com.

I’m seeing on other forums that EK is having troubles returning A380’s back into service, they are taking longer to turn round than planned & I suppose the longer they sit idle the more work will be required etc

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
