Wizz seem to be dropping the Gdansk route. Down to 3 routes now from about 8 i think at one time. They appear to be becoming less interested in their Eastern European. They have increased the Bucharest route for a period between May June .

Poland to the UK seems to be a market they’re serving less and less over time judging by what I’ve seen from LBA and now LPL. Can’t speak for BHX but looks similar as they focus more on other markets like Romania

BHX has nothing to Poland from Wizz anymore. There has been Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw and Krakow over the years but despite rumours of WAW and WRO returning it's still a blank.

In fact, Krakow aside, Poland out of BHX is a shadow of what it once was. Ryanair have chopped Katowice and Gdansk in recent years with both remaining unserved, although Poznan and Lodz have been added. Warsaw was also totally unserved for much of 2025 (Modlin returns in March).

Contrast that with Romania where Ryanair and Wizz have around 10x weekly flights to Bucharest between them with Wizz also serving Suceava, Sibiu, Craiova and Timisoara.

These things do tend to go in phases though so hopefully things will pick up for UK airports to Central and Eastern Europe in the future :)

Whilst any loss of passengers isn't what any airport wants, I do recall the airports CEO stating, financially, Wizz passengers tend to not be particularly profitable and dont spend, in the way other airlines passengers do.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
